cannot send photos with text messages on android

    i cannot send photos with text messageson android phone. Should this be possible? On my windows phone i couldn't either. i know apps can do but i am curious if i am doing something wrong. Does one need mobile data credit as well as 'ordinary' credit to do this

    You would need to make sure your APN settings are correct for MMS. I wouldn't bother with picture messaging here, though. It's an antiquated, unpopular way of sending pictures. Use WhatsApp or Viber or email or something.

    "This is from googling it. I don't use Eir, so can't test" thanks should have googled it myself but was not sure what i would be looking for. ientered the details but still won't send. Some details will not save even when save is pressed. They go back to blank when the page is closed

    Contact your service provider and ask them to activate MMS on your profile.
    Does one need mobile data credit as well as 'ordinary' credit to do this
    It will cost you more to send a picture message/mms,depending on the quality/size of the media file and what your plan allows.
