Disappointed by my parents today, felt let down saying goodbye. It will probably be best to put some space between me and them and that makes me sad.

The ferry is late and I want to get on now!!

Multiple animated logo sequences for 10 different production/distribution companies on a film, before they even get to any real credits

LadyM I know that when I came back to Ireland a decade ago the goodbye between my best friend and I was a hug, a brief "love you and "chat soon".

I then went home and cried for ages then got drunk. Three days later we talked and he admitted he'd done the same.

Goodbyes suck and not everyone can handle them.

Good luck LadyMacBeth. Your parents probably didn't want to show you how much they will miss you. Give them a ring when you settle in, they will be looking forward to hearing about your new start (not known you personally, I hope I'm not speaking out of turn).

Watching rubbish on TV, the glass of wine I'm having is slightly helping.

Uploaded an assignment due in by mid-Jan half an hour ago, getting the "abusive" slagging messages already.

Do students really send you abusive messages?
I'm class rep to a class of part time mature students so I can't figure out if you're serious or if mature students just actually act mature.

My TA is that I love my dog so very much but her farts could bring tears to your eyes.

Our washing machine broke today, broke appliance, plus water EVERYWHERE, LITERAL RAGE.

Took my elderly dad for drinks Xmas Eve. He has dementia and is using a walker. But he tries to get around as much as he can.

So we make it across the car park - big deal for him - and there's a car in the space in front of the slope. Parked on a giant F***KING white cross and in front of a No Parking sign.

I asked them to move as my dad couldn't make it up the step and got told to "do one fatty'.

If there was such a thing as a sponsored swear I would alleviate poverty.

What gives these selfish dicks the right to behave like that ????

Me: try to forget it, they are probably pathetic unhappy losers

I've had a blocked nose for so long i think I've developed an unhealthy attachment to my Vic2nasal inhaler.

I think it's a cultural thing to call ppl names like that, where they are from. Didn't upset me really, just annoying and probably gin/prosecco inspired. But if they have time to check in the college moodle, why not do the assignment instead, my real ta.

I've had that too with the washing machine and how wet everywhere is, sympathies.

Back from the doc with a puck of drugs for me and the baby. She's on steroids and antibiotics. I'm being sent for an ultrasound scan, no problem. Fair enough it is a holiday weekend and all the scan centres are closed everyone deserves time off. I have an uncomfortable condition it's not life threatening. My T/A is that I can't even book one in online as Ultrasound doesn't come up in the drop down menu even though it is an available option.

My second T/A is that while the lovely drugs have taken my pain away my head is a lot fuzzier than I would like.

This is very trivial but there's one poster on here that has a habit that drives me bonkers. He usually writes full blown essays but that's not the thing that bugs me. The trivial annoyance is he refers to everyone in his replies by their initial(s). "I know what you mean, O." Drives me mad but I don't know why!

"six of one, half a dozen of the other"

Football commentators love to say it when there is a little scuffle with both players equally at fault

    I hate this phrase!!

At the end of the day, it's a game of two halves and there's no easy teams in this league.
