    You can get it via the usual VPN method if you're impatient :)

    I might do it myself tomorrow!

    Hi all,

    I've the OPO 5 and when I try to cast from it to my Chromecast I get a message saying my phone is not optimised for Chromecast.

    Has anyone any experience of this and is there anything I can do via settings etc to make it optimised for Chromecast?

    Have you got Mx player and all cast apps installed on your phone?
    If not try using them.

    Yes, I didn't bother with the beta, this is official Oxygen 5.0.

    For the 5t?

    I have a 5, I'm assuming it's the same update as the 5t. It's not released here yet, I had to use a Canada VPN to get it.

    5T doesn't have the beta release yet, it'll be released "soon", with the full release expected before the end of January :)

    Got the phone yesterday, great so far and loving it.
    I noticed that google play music doesn't show up on my locked screen to control the music, is this feature gone in the current version of android?

    What are people's options on the following screen to ensure 4G. I keep dropping to H+. Am I doing anything wrong

    Had a really cool feature on my iPhone called do not disturb, only favourite contacts could ring me and anyone else just got an engaged Tone - anything like this for Android ?
    Spotted an app called settings profiles full on app store but it looks old but could do the trick fo me from reading an online review.

    This option is in the one plus 5 also.

    Set your slider on the left side of your screen to the middle. You will then see "do not disturb" pop up on the top of the screen with a gear cog. Press this and set up your favorites.

    Found this app on play store let's you get updates when they're released no need for vpns or waiting till it's your turn.

    In case anyone missed it, there is an update out for the 5T that improves the selfie cam and adds an option for face unlock at night... but don't use it at/in complete black or it will blind you!... no really, it boosts your screen to 100%

    Set your VPNs to canada and your good to go.

    I was able to set times on my HTC phone when I was not to be disturbed (eg. 10PM - 7:30AM). You could also set contacts who could ring through anyway and whether everyone could get through if they ring more than once in a 5 minute period -things like that.

    I found that a lot more useful than the hard switch on the 5T, but there's no reason why any Android frontend couldn't have it, I would have thought.

    Is the OnePlus 5T compatible with ID Mobile network?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,456 ✭✭✭The high horse brigade

    Is the OnePlus 5T compatible with ID Mobile network?

    Yes, you'll need to add the APN settings. You'll not get 4G as ID mobile don't do 4G
    Within settings, find ‘mobile networks’, ‘Access Point Names’ and hit Add. Then follow the below steps to get yourself set up with Internet and MMS.

    Data Settings
    Name = ‘iD Internet’
    APN = ‘internet’
    MCC = 272
    MNC = 16
    APN type = ‘default’
    APN protocol = IPV4
    APN roaming protocol = IPv4

    MMS Settings
    Name = ‘iD MMS’
    APN = ‘MMS’
    MMSC = ‘http://mms/’
    MMS proxy = ’10.12.0.1’
    MMS port = ‘9028’
    MCC = ‘272’
    MNC = ‘16’
    APN type = ‘mms’
    APN protocol = ‘IPv4’
    APN roaming protocol = ‘IPv4’

    Where is the cheapest place to get the dash charger online for the op5?

    I'm getting 4g on ID?

    I'm getting 4g on ID?

    Maybe they have it now, they didn't when I was with them earlier in the year. I was sure none of the Three resellers had it and we limited to 3G.

    Aliexpress has them for a tad over a tenner

    AliExpress the cheapest but it takes around 3 to 4 weeks for the item to be delivered

    Oneplus have removed the scheduled for some reason.
