Decided to counter the Christmas gluttony habits by going for cycle.

Charged bike computer, pumped tyres, loaded water bottle, togged out, mp3 player in, up on the bike... couldn't clip in to pedals. Replaced cleats before Christmas and put wrong ones on shoes while throwing out old ones.

Neighbour saw me leaving and rolling back 3 minutes later. Could nearly see the thought bubble out of their head saying "What is this clown at".

Lady, I've a place in wexford beside the ferry. If you want somewhere to lay your head before the trip to Wales you'd be very welcome. Give me a shout. Best of luck with the move :)

Thank you so much whoops, that's very kind of you. I'll let you know closer to the time if that's ok and I really appreciate the offer. You're a good egg :)

As I was back in work today, is it too early to take down the Xmas decs? I’m bored of them

    Ring a hotel

The cheery machine welcomes me to listen to seven options..... groan

And the one with a human was you guessed it - the last one number seven

Feeling rotten and wishing I could borrow a healthy body for a couple of days. I'm going to be in a van from Cork to Rosslare to Wales to Reading on Friday and before that I have to pack all of my worldly possessions into it and clean the whole apartment. My body aches and getting up hurts and makes me out of breath. Don't know how I am going to manage, probably have to sit around helplessly watching my missus do it all and feeling horribly guilty for being useless.

Best of luck with the move Lady. You are strong and can make it through this. x

Dublin bus. Again. First they're running a Saturday timetable. Second my bus drove past me half fun with a "out of service sign on" I left work at 5:30 and I've only just got on a bus.

Updating the AV on some of the computers here, going in circles as I cant remember the password for the account set up(some of them are 5 years old), so when I click forgotten password, the attached email doesn't arrive. So I try another temp av, same issue, this happened 4 times today. Now stuck with an av I don't like and a few hours of a wait for the cs of the original av provider to answer why they don't recognise their own activation key. TATA

TA selection box issues: so many of these boxes and so few young people to eat them this year.
A friend's comment about how my family of origin swop parts of their selection boxes so easily and without fuss. Makes me sad.

Like it's my fault. Seriously, I get paid €21,000 to listen to this.

That is making me more than trivially annoyed, on your behalf. Nobody should have to put up with that! What a disgusting person he is.

And I want to speak to my husband about this but he isn't answering his phone, DID YOUR HANDS FALL OFF!!!

Hope your boss supported you after the incident

I love my family more than anything on earth. But. If this week has taught me anything, it's that there's a very good reason that we all haven't lived under the same roof for a long, long time.
    Space. I love you.

I spent a week in hospital recently but was discharged before Christmas. I gave my brother and his fiancé a nice Christmas gift and haven't received so much as a "how are you" text never mind a thank you for the gift. Fine if you don't like me but thank you is just manners.

    That's dreadful.

I sent gifts to friends and relatives children several weeks ago, and of six recipients only one has taken the time to thank me, one line via text.

I won't do it next year.

My "boss" is on annual leave until the new year. Oh and also, she doesn't care, nobody in the organisation cares.
I don’t get called a cunt very often, I think it's happened about 5 times since I started this job (and never ever in any other job ever) but I get cursed at and screamed at every day by the public. I wish I was exaggerating but I'm not and I'm serious when I say nobody in the organisation cares.

Bosses couldn't give a ****. I was shouted and screamed at by a student.

An hour later he brought three friends with him screaming "now you tell them what you told me!!!!!"

Scared me. And I don't scare easily.

Reported him and the boss's first reaction - and reaction to this day, was to as what issues we thought the student had and how we could help him!!!

He's just a **** who was wrong and doesn't like a woman in authority telling him that!!

We have mice!! I say 'mice' cos they never infiltrate a house on their own. I found droppings under the sink and tonight I can hear them in the wall. *shudder*

The baby is sick and miserable and letting everyone else know about it. She's been put down to bed and has screamed blue murder cos she saw some of her teddies on our bed and not in her cot. She's only 18 months!!

I'm trying to change a light fitting. It's not difficult. I know exactly what to do but I have a very healthy fear of electricity. It's dark and I need light to see what I'm doing. If I turn off the trip switch all the surrounding lighting switches off and I can't see. I'm too much of a scaredy cat to 'just' turn it off at the wall switch. It'll have to wait til after work tomorrow.

I went back to work today and it doesn't even feel like Christmas anymore. This makes me so very sad. I love the Christmas period and it's over already. Like I'm looking at my decorations wondering why they're even up :(

More that TA watching this programme from C4 the other night "Shamed".

I hate opening new things of nice/special food and drink cause I hate feeling greedy. I've spent the past few days watching people walk back and forth past the unopened bottle of spiced rum in the kitchen while they go for their boring wine and beer. At this rate the coke will be all gone and I'll have nothing to mix my Captain Cook with. (I'll have to drink it straight; oh the horror! ;) )

TA'd that Christmas seems to get shorter and shorter every year. Soon I won't even notice it flitting by, it will just become another day, albeit more hassle-filled.

Good lord if I could thank this a million times. I'm going absolutely mad at this point. I'm not staying as long next year I'm just not able for it. I feel so bad then for feeling this way!

I can't actually stand the blogger she's talking about. And I don't follow bloggers. Just sick of seeing her woman pop up on my newsfeed. Saw this story yesterday and had huge sympathy for her.

Now maybe shoes knows more from following her about how she treats her dog. But I go on holidays. I go on trips away. My mutt is never left alone for more than a couple of hours, ever, she goes to my parents' house when I'm at work or if I'm out for the night or if im away. She's treated as well as I would treat my own child. So I think it's bullsh*t to say that if you leave your dog with someone who cares for them then you're abandoning them. Bullsh*t of the highest order. You never saw a mutt as happy as mine. She gets so excited going to my parents house and loves it there. It's her second home. If she escaped from my parents' house they would never get over it, just as much as me, and vice versa when their pup comes to stay with me.

I'm away for a week on Saturday and the pupsicles is going on her holidays to my mam and dad's. She'll be delighted packing her bag :)

its on the Indo fb page and she's being slaughtered for it by the comments

My boyfriend ASSURED me his sister didn’t get me an Xmas present this year and warned me not to get her anything so as not to embarrass her as she wouldn’t have reciprocated.
I took his advice and got her nothing.
Lo and behold, she gave him a gift to pass on to me on Christmas Day. And he forgot to give it to me. And I ran into her in the shop and earlier and never thanked her cos I didn’t even know she had gotten anything.
He only remembered when I mentioned I ran into her when I got home.
So now not only must she think I’m an ungrateful rude cow for not thanking her, I also got her nothing in return.
And the gift she got me is fabulous and something I really like which is making me feel even more guilty.
TA that his sister is so nice and must think I’m a massive bitch.

Also TA that every TA I’ve posted lately has been to do with my boyfriend, I swear I like him sometimes :pac:

Technology breaks my fricking heart! :(:(:( There's always something. Hours and hours getting nowhere fast. Good money spent on things that I can't even get to work right. I feel the brains behind Technology are actually going backwards in time and not keeping up at all, not doing what they're supposed to be doing, not making life easier, not making their Devices easier to understand and use better. Bloody nightmare. Waste of effing money when they don't even give good right explanations of how to get the damn things working.:rolleyes::rolleyes::mad::mad::mad:

Also, I love Mrs. Browns Boys! I'm sad that it's not more popular! :(
