Hi guys,

Might remember me for the lga 1155 motherboard but I changed my mine.

Got myself a intel i5 7500

Just wondering if this build is all compatible

Intel core i5 7500 (stock cooler)
Gigabyte B250M-DS3H
2 x 4GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical DDR3 1600MHz CL8
asus radoen 1gb 6870
cosair 400w bronze standard
matx case

You will need to sell the DDR3 RAM, and buy some DDR4-2400.

I'd also save up for a GPU upgrade, as it will be a bottleneck in your system.

Would this work?

The gpu is just wanted to play company of heroes, basically strategy games of old

It works, but would downclock to 2400MHz (a chipset limitation of B250).

I'd choose the ASRock B250M Pro4

Best PCI layout, has a USB 3.0 C-connector, 4x RAM slots, and 2x fan headers.

The ASUS ROG Strix would be in 2nd place due to its superior audio chip.
