Doom 3 BFG is €4.99 on Steam right now, which is supposed to have one of the best VR mods for Rift. Picked it up myself.

Hadn't been aware of the until I saw it covered on Tested/Projections recently: https://youtu.be/q8L95r0ilyI?t=910

The mod is available here: https://github.com/KozGit/DOOM-3-BFG-VR/releases

and some good setup guides here:

Don't think I've developed the VR legs to dive in just yet but figured it's worth a punt at €4.99 for the base game

Alien Isolation has a VR mod too in case you weren't aware.

Not sure if it's selling at the best price, but worth a shot too.

I have it, didn't know a mod was available. I think the flow of the game might be ruined by all the pants changing tho :D

One of my coolest experiences was California coast, thought I did brilliantly, came first, end of race decided to walk around, state of my car lol

Wanna get PC2, as frametime is supposed to be better and therefore better for VR

Must try the Alien Isolation mod when I'm back home after Christmas. So far only a couple of days owning it and very pleased with the purchase. Already have a stack of stuff downloaded/purchased. Anyone who has tried it on has been really impressed with the Rift to date.

Racket Fury is Deal of the Day for €3.99

I cannot recommend this game enough, it's the truest sense of immersion and great fun.

I think you need to have a US address in order to purchase it?

Note this is likely the Deal of the Day on the Oculus Store as well. I'm betting €9.99.

Anyone downloaded Richard Burns Rally meant to be great in VR, just wondering what guide you used and where you downloaded it for free?

    Wilson's Heart is €7.99

I bought this at €19.99 thinking it was a good deal but I've hardly had time to play it and that was only about 2 months ago. I swear I'm never paying more than €12 for anything on Oculus Store again as they discount everything so quickly!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,679 ✭✭✭✭Samuel T. Cogley

I wouldn't say they discount quickly - been waiting ages to buy some games but they do eventually so I agree with you on waiting!

When Wilsons Heart dropped to €19.99 in the first sale, 14 days later it dropped to something like €12.99 before it went back up to the normal price. 14 days is just over the refund/rebuy eligible period so the timing was planned.

Seen the same with Racket Fury and many other games that go on sale barely a month or so after arriving on the store.

I guarantee Lone Echo will drop to €15 or something in a few weeks.

Anyway, my Wilsons Heart experience was a lesson, so anything above €12 is a no no now, unless it's something I *must* play now.

    Chronos for €7.99 any good?

I'd be on Superhot @ €9.99 too in an instant if I didn't already own it on PSVR

Good game for €7.99, I'm enjoying it so far. As for The Climb, my arms hate it lol.

    This sale is great :D

Good game for 7.99 or good game full stop? :)

I know it's a small price but it looks like backlog fodder as the VR aspect seems to be weirdly implemented (stationary camera).

The visuals are supposed to be the best part?

Only played it for about 1hr so good game for €7.99 so far.

The Climb I've asked for a refund, I played it longer on my 2nd and 3rd go and got really bad nausea to the point I felt like throwing up. I had the same problem with Eve Valkyrie too :(

Just got one for Christmas :D now looking to mount the sensors, what's the best way? Are these things on ebay right? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wall-Mount-Bracket-Installation-Metal-Holder-Secure-Rotary-CCTV-Camera-Stand-UK/282411251677?hash=item41c105b7dd:m:mr-k0rymrns-mM9Vrx-uwgw

Also is a mannequin head the best way to store the rift when not in use? At the minute I've been using the box it came in but want to get that put out of the way.

Has anyone tried SportsBar VR? Been playing it quite a bit tonight. Controls take some getting used to but the pool and darts have been really enjoyable.

It's fun, but to me it really shows the limitations of VR. You see how much you depend on physically feeling the cue in your hand, or leaning on the table for balance. The pool AI can also randomly turn into Ronnie O' Sullivan no matter how low the setting is.

Hmm, thinking of selling my rift, I haven't used it since the summer. Would I be mad to sell it on?

If you haven't used it in 6 months selling it is the right move.
