Creche in Glasnevin/Finglas/City side of Dublin 9
    Hi,

Would anybody have a list of creches in this area as need it in 5 months time for a 6 month old and been told we should put his name on the waiting list now.

Any creche you have used and would recommend ?

Do we need to go onto waiting list now or no rush yet ?

How does the process of getting a creche work ?

    Many thanks,

Don't live in that area but can give advice on process. Yes you should start looking now. Basically you contact creches your interested in + they will arrange an appointment with you. I'd advise seeing a few then you can compare + choose one you want if available. Even though we booked 5 months in advance 1 creche still had no places for when we wanted. Much harder to get a place for under 1 as ratio is 3 to 1 so some creche don't take them till over 1 when ratio is 1 to 5.

    Good Luck

Dublin City Childcare Committee will have a list of all creches in your area
    http://www.childcareonline.ie/

you can also read all the Tulsa reports on the pobal maps
    https://maps.pobal.ie/WebApps/TuslaInspectionReports/index.html

you are very far behind getting your childs name down, huge shortage of baby places in this area - well of acceptable places.

start searching asap, i start when my child was 5 weeks old and it still took 5 months to get somewhere suitable
