Jesus, I nearly pooed myself this morning on finding that GDAX had listed BCH. Markets went mad. Have some ETH on GDAX right now, went all the way down to €600 .

Edit: Seems the BCH spike may have been insider trading. Bad for GDAX/Coinbase reputation. Bad for us too. Due to resume trading of BCH at 1700. Getting out of the market before that happens.

24hrs now and still have 5 unconfirmed transactions €18 to move €50 becoming annoying and frustrating now.

Is it likely to cause the same stir again though? It's just one exchange. I might just hodl through it.
Pity I've no BCH to dump though.

Hard to know, ideally the markets will drop significantly with the decreased liquidity available to the other coins. I suspect that GDAX will reset the BCH price to what it was this morning before the dodgy pump.

Personally I'm waiting until an hour before BCH starts trading and then taking what I can from my ETH. Only just broken even in the last few minutes. Probably won't trade tomorrow unless a major bargain shows up.

When coinbase launched BCH it was valued at €3000 and someone was racking up the price throughout the day before it went to that insane amount for a few hours so someone some where had insider info. yesterday I said it looked good from what I'm seeing now I'm holding off on it for a while.

Felt like a good time to get rid of BCH. I had been holding since the fork.

Just transferred BTC from Gdax to Bittrex. Transaction went through according to Gdax but on Bittrex its saying no pending transactions.

Does this just take a little time or is it fairly instant??

1st time doing this so havent a clue of timeline.

Yeah it can take an average of 30 mins, but I've heard a lot longer too

Why are you moving such little amounts around in so high numbers of transactions?

What do you think it will take to get Bitcoin moving closer to 20k.
To be honest I'm not sure what caused the last run or subsequent drop.

What's causing any of it?! A lot of it is unexplained. It's people speculating looking to earn a quick buck.

With normal stock buying there's usually explanations, but with crypto it's a lot of gambling.

Hype, the only thing that has ever caused the price to move was hype. The right post on Reddit will double the value of everything.

Just bought 100 euro worth of XVG.

Some people predicting it will break $1 in the new year but to be honest I'm only in it for the fun hence the small money.

As I've accepted payment for Xbox Credit and Also trying to make payment for an iptv service it wasn't planned just spontaneous wasn't expecting it to be held up this long but that's how it goes I suppose.

    Hi all,

Could someone please shed some light on how long withdrawls usually take from coinbase ? I receiced an email saying my withdrawl should be in my bank account on the 20th of December, however, I'm still waiting for my funds to arrive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Heh guys,

I've been doing a bit of research the last week into buying bitcoins.. I want to buy 1k worth, I know it's risky but I have it to spare and might just see how it goes for a year or so..

I have currently registered on mtgox.com and am awaiting approval on my Id verification.. Has anyone dealt with this site have any info for me?

If I put my money on mtgox that means I have to trust them with my bitcoins is this correct? I won't have to have a wallet on my computer?

I'm just basically asking for advice, it's what I want to do but if someone can explain the best way about it that knows more than me I would appreciate it

    Thanks

    Brendan

Those with profits in Bitcoin may be realising some before the holidays.

    Price fall to be expected.

Extent of any recovery in New Year will be telling

I agree, seems to be a lot of profit taking and a corresponding reduction in overall market cap.
Its a bloodbath out there today, but hopefully opportunity will come of it.
Hope nobody here gets too badly stung.

I sold the lot back to FIAT a while ago. Lost all the profits from the past few weeks but I guess it lessens my CGT burden. ;)
Unsure where to set the buy orders because of the volatility. Could fall a long way yet, but the last time I felt like that it shot up 3k and I was left behind.

Bears make money. Bulls make money. Little pigs get slaughtered. And there's a lot of hogs being butchered today. Take your bacon off the table guys before you get sizzled.
