Loved the tweet that Netflix put out about people watching the Christmas Prince :pac:
I think the person watching the bee movie 357 times in a year is more disturbing!

I've noticed It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia was never removed, after bring cited for removal on the 9th.

    That was for the US.

There was a great post on Reddit recently, where this guy was feeling unbelievably depressed and binge-watched the Office on a near-constant basis for about a week or two. Netflix dropped him an email to ask him if everything was OK.

or the guy who watched Pirates of the Caribbean Curse of the Black Pearl for 365 days in a row.

    Some people are truly strange.

This I can relate too. I spend nearly straight week binging through most of the seasons that where available of the U.S Office sick at home from work. Truly a cathartic experience.

I think that the people watching the Bee Movie and Pirates of the Caribbean are kids.

It's such an obvious venn diagram.

Watched the Foreigner today, not great. Jackie Chan did mean and moody quite well though, although a large percentage of his lines were the same "give me the names".

When the number of production companies at the start takes as long as the actual titles it's a worrying sign, particularly when a lot of them are Chinese.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

This could soon be the only way that films outside of Disney get made.

Why, it's a film largely financed in China starring one of China's biggest name. Don't see why that would be worrying at all. As for loads of idents before a film, not really a big deal and honestly given the mess that is financing a non Superhero film it's to be expected. Hollywood has little interest in any thing that isn't the next franchise starter, it's why cinema listings these days are so bleak. Little but CGI laden fare that's less a film than it is a barrage of bright images and loud noises.

People complain about Netflix and the like buying movies but at least they are taking risks. Some of the best American films of the past year exist thanks to streaming and its where intelligent understated cinema is going to be found.

Season 3 of Lovesick is coming on January 1st.

I wasn't expecting it so soon. Really worth catching up on the first 2 seasons over Christmas.

Netflix is becoming like a full time job there's so much content coming through, I believe next year is going to be a deluge of Netflix Originals. :D

Another shout for unabomber. Episode 6 is one of the best episodes I've seen of any series in a long long time.

Back to watching "Mindhunter" now, e09, finding it an absolute slugfest for some reason ...and I really enjoyed the first few episodes. Almost forcing myself to finish it hoping it'll draw me back in.

You're not the only one. It was a struggle to finish. Won't be bothering with season 2.

    Triangle
Super-cheap-looking CGI notwithstanding, this is a nicely-executed horror film that leans on atmosphere and a sense of dread. After a sudden storm cripples their yacht, a group of friends board a large, seemingly-empty ship to try and seek help. What follows shares similarities with various other films, but in both tone and performance Triangle manages to be more than just a hodge podge of "It's Like Film X Crossed With Film Y" scene assemblage, and where it occasionally acknowledges prior films with related subject matter, it does so in an unobtrusive way.

    Viral
Well-acted and somewhat understated, but let down by a script that has literally no new ideas for its zombie epidemic. There's a hint of an idea that might have borne fruit later in that the outbreak is a parasite that controls its host's behaviour, but nothing particularly interesting or new is done with it. If you liked the remake of The Crazies and wanted something competent but unexceptional in a similar vein, this is for you.

It's great, but Scrotal Recall, has to go down as one of the biggest marketing mistakes in TV history.

Yep. I've said that nearly every time the show is mentioned. I avoided it on Channel 4 when it was Scrotal Recall because it was being pushed as this gross out humour American Pie lads style "comedy" that just didn't appeal to me at all.
I'm so glad Netflix saved it and renamed it. I watched it by chance one day not realising it was the same show and loved it.

If Triangle is being added, I'd highly recommend it. Cracking watch. Made in Australia for about a half a million I think. Fantastic concept.
