    He didn't molest her though.

But what is the rationale behind this move ?

Same as the story about the trip to the brothel. to show he doesn't rape all children.

"How can we show our support in the creepiest way possible?"

Showing the allegations should be disregarded, I suppose, but sheesh, take a photo with him instead, same message and 85% less creep.

I'm just going through twitter and it seems that the turnout is up which is good for Doug Jones. IF and it is a huge if even after everything that has come out about Roy Moore, he wins then the reaction will be epic. Trump may actually lose his mind, and the Senate Republicans will breath a huge sigh of relief.

If Alabama elect a democratic senator I'll get Trumps face tattooed on my ass. It's never going to happen.

Yeah but don't forget, there are loads of people that he didn't molest.*

*that was actually used as a talking point.

What am I missing here, because that strikes me as them willfully going out of their way to ensure there is little evidence if votes actually are tampered with? Given the Republican party's typical stance on being extremely vigilant on voting and voters (ID, voter fraud claims, etc) that seems very, very... well let's just say 'peculiar'.

That's one way of getting around the federal requirment mentioned in the original article. Saves embarrassing the people on the federal side of the vote issue.

Edit: if the Alabama Sec of State is downplaying the numbers likely to turn up to vote, and with no actual digital record of the vote outcome kept, there is the chance that rigging would be undetectable,,,,,, barring some-one hacking into the systam that Homeland Security thinks easy and download the digital records.

Looks like Moore has somehow done the impossible and lose the safest seat in the land. That's remarkable.

I don't know how anyone can see this as a bad thing, Moore is a disgusting person, and its a timely reminder to the Republican establishment and money men that Steve Bannon is nowhere near as talented politically as he believes. His presence is absolute toxic to the party and cat nip for the left. I know he still brags about winning Trump the white house, but I still feel Trump would have won without him.

Even if Moore had won, he'd have been a fantastic scapegoat for the Dems until he quit politics, and its a nice **** you to the republicans who done sweet **** all to get Moore out of this seemingly impossible election to lose. A generic Republican would likely have won this by 20 or so points, that's how repugnant Moore was.

Up there with AC Milan losing the champions league final to Liverpool for me this.

Fox have called this for Jones.

    Incredible and also amusing tbf.

Jones wins in Alabama. You can only imagine the Nuclear Ire Trump will be tweeting soon :pac:

A democrat winning in Alabama though, that's incredible. Black turnout was critical, fair play to them.

Good on Jones for winning. I got this one wrong I have to say and glad to be wrong.

Still, the fact that this was close at all, astonishes me. Jones should have crushed Moore instead of a narrow win like this. It still shows that there is something very rotten among some people in the US.

It also looks like black voters saved the day on this one as well.

So, when can we schedule this in for?

Amazing result for Jones. Despite large amounts of democrat voters having their polling registration being deactivated they still managed to get enough numbers out to beat Moore. This will annoy Trump. First they ignore his first pick for candidate and then they ignore his endorsement of Moore.

Careful, now. Don't get ahead of yourself.

First we have to have the demands for a recount.

Then we have to have the claims that Moore really won a majority of the popular vote.

After that comes four years of investigations into allegations of fraudulent voter registration. Don't you know that Alabama is right next to Mississippi, which is right next to Louisiana, which is right next to Texas, which is right next to Mexico, which contains brown people? So obviously the place is overrun with illegal immigrants, whose sole purpose in coming to the United States (after rape and terrorism) is to register so they can cast votes for Democratic candidates. We need a Wall! All elections [that the Democrats win] should be annulled until after the Wall is constructed!

Can I make a suggestion as to where you can place Trumps mouth when getting the tattoo done?

You mean to see Trump declare he never supported that perverted child molester, ever, like totally fake news! Followed by him declaring he's launching nukes against NK in 24h as a distraction tactic on the topic?

Listening to the rte radio 1 lead in piece on the vote...

"For the first time in a quarter of a century, a democrat has won the Senate seat in Alabama.

So, how did a republican with homophobic views and allegations of paedophilia lose in Alabama"

    Touchè sir, touchè.

Elect a clown... Expect a circus

The scary thing is that there was only 1.5% of a margin IIRC. Moore still nearly won. A man with a record of homophobia and attraction to underage girls was still nearly deemed suitable and was supported in nearly equal numbers to the winner. It’s a sad inditement on the state of Alabama and the US

Bannon already getting it in the neck from senior RNC figures. The stinking hypocrisy.

However, this is a watershed moment, there is no more scope for ambivilance from the RNC and moderate Republican seat holders, they are now either with the Trump agenda or against it, for decency and a return to governing for all the people or against it. The blood of a good many previously safe seaters must be running cold today. A good thing.

So that's 0-2 in candidates in Alabama that trump has supported. Also it's December 13th and no legislative victory for trump. All that winning must be getting tiresome.
