On a good roll in this league at the moment, 1 loss in 10 has moved me into 1st. Ditching Kane has worked so far but might finally catch up on me this week, I think I'm the only one in the league without him.

A narrow 1 pt win over swiper to move up to second.

3 from 3 for me as well, unfortunately it's the West Ham kind of 3 from 3 rather than the Man Utd kind!! Firmly rooted to the foot of the table on my debut in the Premier league, need to turn things around quickly.

I went on to loose my next 2 matches after the above post to make it 5 losses from 5 however since then i’ve had 7 wins 1 draw ( Salah’s clean sheet costing me the win against Lemlin today!) and 3 defeats to move mid table. It’s very tight with only 6 pts seperating 7th and 16th before this week.

A vital good min this GW to stay in mid-table mediocrity. Matches my mediocre season so far :P . That said, have no pb with mediocrity in this league since it'd mean safety comes GW38 :D.

7 or 8 wins to go now ;). With 20 GWs to go, that doesn't look unreachable but it's always harder than it seems.

I’ve recently crawled from bottom spot into mid table mediocrity. I’ll take that.

4 defeats in the last 5 games and I'm getting in trouble. 16th and the gap to the first relegated team closing down on me (7 pts now ; was about twice that not so long ago).

Betrayed by my defense this GW with a complete no show (in both senses). Had Gomez & Christensen featured, I'd have won, even one of them could have been enough...

My defense's becoming a big pb though. I'm gonna have to invest differently into more secure players. e.g. Selling Otamendi in GW12 was maybe the right thing to do but I should have brought him back.

My 8 week winning streak sees me in 1st for now. Going to do a Leicester and celebrate that at least I shouldn’t be relegated at this stage.
My climb up the table coincides with a GW12 rank of 626k to a current 4K ranking over the past 8 weeks
Would love to maintain a top 10k for the season

Nice work but you should be aiming for top 1k now. You have all your chips left so no reason why you can't. You're not gonna win this league though so give up on that!

Another defeat on its way. Concerning times :o...

Always nice to dish out a hiding to FHFC.

Lost my first 5 matches in this league and feared I was in for a quick return to the championship, however since then I've been on a very good run with only 4 losses in the last 19 GW's, up to 4th now and only 3 points off the top.

More importantly I've now gone over the magic 40 pts so should be safe here for another season!

40 is not enough. These last year safety was achieved 'round 47-48 points. But you're not far from it ;).

Level on points with 1st place with 2 GWs to go, the dream is on!

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

3 defeats in a row sees me bow out of the top 4 'conversation'. In those 3 weeks I've run into 2 BBs and a FH!

Two wins in a row has secured my safety .

I had a nice lead in this a few weeks ago but have lost 5 of the last 7 games. It's a pity we aren't meeting in the last gameweek to decide the title!

I’ve not given up all hope yet but i would need you to lose your last 2 matches!! 2 narrow defeats in gw34 & 35 cost me my chance at winning.

Is this the fourth year of this great competition? How many founder members will be there next year? Looks like a lot of the same names, are the promoted teams falling away again, not able to hack it with the big boys :pac:

I see you had a good week this week. Tough time of it of late. Went with the sgw BB like myself.

I started in league 1 and am now 3rd in my first year in the premier league and still in with a slim chance of winning, GLaDOS also promoted this year and now in 2nd so maybe it’s the so called big boys that can’t hack it anymore!!

I'm still here since day 1 of this competition ! And now in contention for CL finish :p. Mathematically I can still win it but... let's be realistic.

Good on you, nice to see a bit of spirit, but you're Burnley, you'll be back where you belong soon enough :P
All a bit of craic, I'm having my worst ever year by a distance but I'll hold on comfortably in this league, I'd hate to drop out of it to be honest.

Looks like you are about to make 1st place your own, I'm up against a bench boost and am already behind after Gross's performance

What is the general consensus on this for next year? Didn't seem to generate the same interest this year. Something that is cared about heavily by all and too sacred to reconsider or something not noteworthy enough to be worth the heavy admin involved?

It's something I look at every week. It might not generate as much on thread activity as previously buy personally would hate to see it go.

Id certainly be sad to see it go.

Ive been posting less in general on boards these days, hence my own lack of activity.

It definitely has kept me interested when the last few seasons haven't gone great. Always a push to remain in the top league, although it looks like I will end up dropping into the championship this time
