Need some playground flooring

Need some soft ground flooring for a covered outdoor play area for the kids. 15m2. Got a price for rubber tiles and it's 500 quid+ for a small area.

Any alternatives or other ideas?

They appear to ship to Ireland, and are coming in around the £200 mark.

I believe I saw similar tiles in Smyth's at around €15 per tile, so might be worth a look.

By the way, the above link was just the first one on a Google search, so probably plenty of others to look at

I doubt it would be any cheaper probably more expensive but you could take a look at the size and the price of horse and cattle mats (they are different items) in your local Glambia.

We used regular pea sized pebble about 5 inches deep.

It dries instantly after rain, deep enough to “give” when a wee one fell off slide etc and really cheap as chips, we used the standard blue quarry stone and it cost like €80 to cover an area with trampoline, slides, swings, play house. It’s done 8 years now and no bother. .

Bark mulch is a dirty mess.

Would the astro turf type stuff work. Maybe sand under it?
