Played a nice bit today of regular pvp and flash points just to chill out after coming back from the queen's of the stone age concert and have to say when your not pre judging it and play it for what it is, it's still a solid old game.

Yep. Played some iron banner yesterday and a little today and had good fun.

When you can get a group going in PvP it's still good fun. I even now find Supremacy enjoyable. I like bring forced to play other modes - just wish the rotation was better.

I don't find much reason to run pve other than while waiting for people to play some pvp.

There us a good foundation, better than original destiny, but it's missing the pieces of destiny at its best and the smaller fire team in PvP has been a big issue since it was announced, never mind since the game released.

Pve suffers for lack of incentives.

Hopefully the stream this weeks gives us some changes required.

Played the Division all weekend, this is what you've made me do Destiny 2, the frigging Division.
Actually got caught up in it and played it obsessively all weekend, a game I was basically done with. It's going into it's 8th major update and there's a shed load of customisation and different viable load-outs, as far as I can tell. Still playing the same old missions but in different boots. PvP still awful.

Just reading one of the comments there and it mentions chasing the Ghjallahorn in D1, S'probably true that a lot of people became obsessed with this and may otherwise have ended their interest sooner.

I find Warframe overwhelming, every now and then I'll load it up, play and really enjoy it think I'm getting it and then discover something that leaves me confused. It's certainly fun

to be honest I cant remember them doing that but I could well be wrong!

if you only had the game for a short period of time it could play well and make you want it, just end game is a mess

Its a great game if you have the time to get into it properlly. Buts its no Destiny 1 :P

So bungie were caught by the bollix hiding their trottling of xp ,basically deceiving the players and now they respond with one hand removing this from the game and with the other hand rehash it so total xp gain is 50% of what it used to be.
They are not doing themselves any favours at all.

Its not that total xp gain has been halved, they doubled the amount of XP required for a Bright Engram from 80,000XP to 160,000XP.

In the current environment of loot boxes and what happened with ea.

The **** they've pulled with XP gains and now doubling the amount needed is just ****ing stupid.

They are all ready in a poor place with the game and this helps to only disillusion more players.

It feels obvious that if you do something perceived as crappy towards the community, you don't remove it then immediately replace it with something that achieves the same basic effect.

Yup as Gimli mentioned it is daunting in it's depth and complexity, but at the same time you can dive right in and go gunning, learning the rest as you go (for quite a while). I played the hell out of it back in 2014, went Grandmaster founder I loved it so much (I still have my commemorative Bandana

). Even with 500 or so hours in the older version I found the current build confusing again for the first day. Still the speed is fantastic, procedurally generated maps certainly help, it plays/looks/sounds far better than a F2P has any right to.
The only thing I really don't like about the current version is the wall running mechanic. It's been majorly nerfed in terms of usability and that bloody hop-hop animation is awful (it was a seamless run animation before). I used to take pride in how I could move in that game, working out a lot of extreme shortcuts and maneuvres with some very hard to pull off but satisfying multi-jumps, now it's a bit meh.

To be fair its a similar game in a lot of respects, and bungee could learn a thing or two from it.

Thread is a bit dead lately anyway, what's the harm.
