When it says 100% Wire-Free, how are these powered?

    Batteries.

Internal batteries. How long they last depends on how they are set up, range of sensor, recording lengths. Can get up to 6 months on a battery buy as little as 1 if it's a high traffic area

Every time I add a HS110 to my basket the price changes from £19.99 to £34.85. Is anyone else seeing this?

This happened me last night too. What I did was go to the list of "X number new" and when it lists all the available sellers it shows at 19.99 next to amazon and click "add to basket" there.

Then it showed up at 19.99 in my basket.

Three pack of Nest Protects on Amazon.de for €259. This is the cheapest I've seen it in quite some time. What I don't know is if the German ones will only talk to you in German! I bought mine from .co.uk

I'd nearly wager she is long gone. Traded in for some bulbs :P

Ironically enough, she's off at the shops right now shopping for my birthday present for next week (Hue was the birthday present 4 years ago). And to be fair now, with the whole house done, she's used to it, and knows I like my smart tech.

So There could be something good there for me next week, though I'll not know whether it was a bargain or not!!

It's a battery specific to Arlo, not standard rechargable ones. Think a charging cable comes with it but you can buy a spare battery and/or charging station. Also a solar panel available to keep it charged

What does it involve if I want to buy from the Germans? given the fact that I've only ever previously bought from Amazon.co.uk & .com
Is it just a case of open an account in German? nine sprekensie Deutsch

Log into amazon.de on with your UK account using Chrome, use Google Translate and order to your heart's content.

Just open a new account on amazon.de.

Then click the little Union Jack in the top right hand corner and the entire site changes to English! You almost won't be able to tell the difference between .de and .co.uk after that!

No free delivery from Germany though. It was tenner for me when I bought some computer stuff a while back.

You don't even have to use google translate emmetkenny - amazon helpfully provide the entire site in English!

Maybe in preparation for Brexit and us ordering more from amazon.de

It is actually kind of scary, I use amazon.co.uk so much, that the odd time I do use amazon.de/.it/.es/.fr, I don't even have to translate it, I know what all the text says anyway from frequent use of the uk site!

I might have a problem......

It's been going since at least Sept 2016 - when I first used it.

I'm debating whether to buy this Philips Hue starter kit on Amazon

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Light-Bulbs/Philips-Colour-Ambiance-Wireless-Bayonet-Starter-Enabled/B01LF9G9HC/?tag=pocketlintc07-21

or whether to start off with just a few of the cheaper white bulbs for using with the echo. Decisions, decisions

Go for it, that’s a great per bulb price for the Hue colour bulbs. You’ll only want to upgrade to colour in the future anyway!!

Just keep keeping an eye out for little bargains & deals down the road and slowly add to your collection.

Is arlo any good? Is it cloud and can it be wired? Don't fancy climbing ladders to change batteries too often. Anyone know how long batteries last?
