Miriam seem to have more followers in her team now than when she was in the Center.

The real Charles Manson is dead.

I burst out laughing at the chanting last night. How bloody ridiculous.

Yeah Damien riding miss piggy is more interesting at this stage. The women can't resist his chorizo curry.

It is hard to know. Oakley is a sneaky potentially villainous individual who will stop at nothing to cover things up. Miriam on the other hand seems to be a caring person but also completely brainwashed by the group. This chanting one can laugh at but it is the hallmarks of a cult and when people take that type of thing serious, there is a problem.

Two rival cults is certainly a very interesting twist. I haven't a clue where this storyline is heading but it's definitely something different anyway.

Why do you think its rubbish? Not trying to start a row, just genuinely curious as to what you find bad about it? I like it because its very original and fresh, usually soaps are just a repeat of affairs and murders, but a cult is not something that pops up much and, bar a slow bit when everything was about Hannah, I think its well acted and interesting.
Just my view though, I like hearing others views!

It is original and i actually enjoyed seeing the chanting last night... really makes it feel more like a cult.. And the way Miriam was practically hypnotising Eoghan.

Poor Eoghan couldn’t even make a cup of tea in his own house. Like does he realise now that this is it, he will never be able to get rid of them now.

I don't fully agree that Miriam is a decent person behind it all, don't forget she went for Hannahs weakness and made the girl so confused and in despair she almost killed herself and all because she wanted to stop her making a complaint to Head Office so shes not above being ruthless but dismissing her actions as "trying to help you".

Its unclear still what her end game is, or Oakleys endgame for that matter. Is Manson trying to slowly build up an empire from scratch again to con people out of money- that's some massive effort that could potentially take years and lots of emotional investment for little return. I think shes going to enlist her charges to commit crimes like robbery etc for the greater good of course and all the while trying to completely change the community. Oakley is very dodgy and seems to want to use drugs to keep members in line, they both are dangerous!

Whatever people think of it, I for one would watch a whole week of chanting instead of Caddles latest poor me storyline, Kerri Ann following "Raymond" around with her ditzy monologues, Pete vs the World, Paul vs Niamh etc etc. At least the cult is different.

The group seem to be all about forgiveness and helping people to overcome bad things they did in the past. Maybe they will take in Ciaran and forgive him for what he did to KT. He's surely due a return. Or maybe Ciaran is the leader.

Yes i'd agree stab you with a smile on her face while Oakley is more openly sinister in my opinion. Oakley even looks intimidating.

Miriam is all love and claps on the back which makes her more dangerous.

From the brief glimpse of Marcus at least he seems to have a suit that fits this year! Although it was only a brief moment.

Christmas Day episode: Manson orders her cult to kill Oakley and burn down the centre...you read it here first! Very very creepy with the chanting and utter resistance to any other way of thinking. I don't think ive ever seen a story like this in a soap:

    Charles-Manson-Lie-The-Love-and-Terror-Cult1.jpg?w=600&h=0&zc=1&s=0&a=t&q=89

Wanderer, are you psychic?! Strange timing to post a pic of Manson on the day he dies (may he Rest in Hell).

    I'd say roast in hell

Was actually surprised that Kerri-Ann didn't get drawn in to the cult there in the last episode. If I was to pick any character to fall for that airy fairy "we're here to help people" bullsh!t, I'd be choosing her!

Maybe Wayne will sign the Garage over to one of the cults!

Is Molloys getting rebuilt after the fire?

Yes, she's already very New Age with her "destiny" and "it's written in the stars" stuff. I think the scriptwriters missed a trick here

Do we think Miriam has any real badness in her or is she redeemable?

It's hard to tell. She certainly seems to have empathy for people.

Yes but they probably wouldn't be able to break her, like Homer Simpson when the cult came to Springfield..

Was Marcus talking to Pete's friend Ronan?

    Typical Fair City casting.
Karen's mother Aoife looks about three years older than her daughter. I know that teenage pregnancies can be a problem,
    but Jaysis there's a limit.

And why do people always go back to Robbie's house when they feel the need to 'explain everything"?
They should know by now that Carole's is there, sharpening her claws.
Karen has had plenty of experience. You'd think she'd warn her mother not to go anywhere near the place...
"Jaysis Ma, don't even think of it. That Carole wan is always looking for a row. "
But, this being FC, of course Aoife trundles down the steps, through the door, and plonks herself down on the sofa to 'explain everything and clear the air'.
    For about three minutes.
Then Carole lets fly with her insults.
"Yer only a 'hoor' so ye are. Coming in here at five o'clock in the evening when my little ten year old Jack is trying to take three - times - a - day his nap. Get out and bring yer floozy of a daughter wit' ye, d'ya hear me?" And of course her visitors can only wrap what's left of their dignity around them and flounce back up those cellar steps again.
    Life is never easy.........

Did she only get a packet of jelly babies from France?

Doesn't Carol Foley look a lot hotter than she has any right to be as an aging Fair City actress? Smoking. Though I used to think the actress was older than she was, maybe that's it.
