Foley will never go back there considering what they did to him last year. And he seems to be doing really well in cork.

Yeah never happening as much as I'd love it. Today Fm acted the gowl with him.

I heard Declan Pierce on Today fm earlier filling in for Phil Cawley. Didn't know he'd left 2fm.
Wish him all the best, always liked his shows.

    What exactly did he do?

He didn’t do anything. TodayFM got in touch with him over a year ago to come back and do a weekend show and go from there. And 2 weeks before he was due to go on air they pulled the show.

Anton brought up the incident when he had Ray on his show as a guest. That didn’t go down well with the higher ups

The higher ups are running out of options and fast, the station is in free fall and is the main reason 2fm has stopped dropping. Who is actually running today FM now, the decisions they have made are really putting the station in jeopardy. Morale in that buildibg they share with newstalk must be pretty low with all the scandals bad ratings and losing big names.

He is presenting a dance show on Today FM on Friday nights.

I didn't realise he was off 2fm that long, thought I had heard him recently.
Anyway, good to hear him on the radio earlier.

Still advertising it on Today FM

That’s strange- if he’s been dropped from the radio show how can Today FM continue promoting the panto? And they are sponsors along with Applegreen. It’s a bit condradictory.

Al hasn't left Today FM, he's just on "personal leave".

I would imagine the fate of the event hasn't been decided yet and is dependent on the outcome of the allegations.

Paula McSweeny's photo is being shown in the old porter slot on the app.

Not sure if that means anything.

Get rid of gift grub, give someone else the breakfast show moving dempsey to the old tony Fenton spot. Bring anton back, move d&d back to midday. I'd possibly go back to listening to today fm then

    Why demote Dempsey?

Please no, painful on the ears, seems ditzy and annoying, and no one cares about you finally having a husband...She seems a more irritating/poorer imitation of Louise Duffy....2 minutes on the Dempsey show is the max I could take her

Not as bad as the unbearable Canadian constantly talking about children

or shilling her twitter account/53102 number - such a bland boring presenter - she was okay at the music but since shes gone down I'm a feminist mother route shes got awful

    Why demote Dempsey?

Thought it would be a great idea to take him off breakfast and give someone else a chance there. He'd actually be a good replacement for that slot

I think after the criticism today fm has had lately I think that they will be actively looking for a strong female presenter

    Fixed that for ya:pac:

I don't care whether it's a male or female as long as they are good.

I’d worry, whoever is calling the shots in TodayFM doesn’t have their finger on the pulse of listeners.

Loosing Anton, Porter was a woeful appointment, no female presenters in prime slots.

It doesn’t bode well that they can make a good decision now.

I don’t think they want Anton back, and moreso I doubt he would come back.

Of course not. Plenty mentions of the RTE pedophile on every news bulletin, though. :pac:

They're have to talk about it at some point today, surely.

Murieannn id guess if they go down that route or go outside Today fm as they have no decent female presenter at the moment (she's the only good female one on their roster)....but id say they'd have to be squeaky clean (man or woman)

its been like that for the last number of years, Music selection for most of the day is dire, Last word has gone down in quality and content (and Cooper's gone sjw'y and biased), Fergal D'arcy is brutal (but not as bad as Al was) Duffy's shows during day kept tanking (her music choice is one of the better ones on Today), D&D should be moved back to the 12-2.30 spot....The only 2 decent shows is Ed Smiths and hes only on once a week and Paul McLoone (and I wouldn't be surprised if they get rid of Paul as he doesn't fit the "young" direction they've been going)..McSweeney is dire, and Dempsey is alright but I think its ran out of ideas being on so long and Gift grub used to be fantastic but now once in a while you might get a good one

Who's the woman who used to do early breakfast before Paula? Her name escapes me but I thought she was quite good.
