Christmas Day episode: Manson orders her cult to kill Oakley and burn down the centre...you read it here first! Very very creepy with the chanting and utter resistance to any other way of thinking. I don't think ive ever seen a story like this in a soap:

Why do you think its rubbish? Not trying to start a row, just genuinely curious as to what you find bad about it? I like it because its very original and fresh, usually soaps are just a repeat of affairs and murders, but a cult is not something that pops up much and, bar a slow bit when everything was about Hannah, I think its well acted and interesting.
Just my view though, I like hearing others views!

It could have been a good story, but its not. Its ridiculous. none of it is in anyway credible. Miriam as a cult leader for example. She was manager of a shopping centre a few weeks ago...and all of a sudden she is leading a group that have a centre with plinky plonky music and members who never utter a word. The way the recruitment of members is being portrayed is equally ridiculous....approaching people in spar. Seriously? There was no healing process around emmet either, suddenly he was fixed of his gambling addiction and an active, leading member of the group.

Fair enough, we will have to agree to disagree. However, on the Arcade thing, a lot of people forget that Miriam did in fact mention to Christiano earlier this year she was handing over the reigns to the assistant manager so she could concentrate on the group full time. I personally think they zoned in on Emmet at a perfect time-Katy was missing, his life was falling apart and he needed a reason to get up in the morning and now he has it.

I do hope it heads for a dramatic climax.

Its a problem with fair city in general imo, they have no clue how to build a proper storyline. They just drop things in there that make no sense to the flow of the show, and we are all supposed to buy it...or else its so obvious, it takes the good out of the plot.

Take kerri anne and mondo, if shes not pregnant with his child i will eat my wooly hat.

The stuff around ciaran, a lot of it was ridiculous as well and rather than build it to a climax, they ruined it by dragging the crap out of it, with several badly done false endings.

They were better at this years ago, but its gone very downhill in the last 18 months or so. I'd like to share your optimism aroumd this group stufd, but i cant see this being well done.

Miriam also tends to make statements and finish them with two double stops
