    The reason that the rich were so rich, Vimes reasoned, was because they managed to spend less money.
    Take boots, for example. He earned thirty-eight dollars a month plus allowances. A really good pair of leather boots cost fifty dollars.     Current favourite that's getting me through things and keeping my focus is a simple and pure "Do it anyway, c**t" handwritten in big block letters on my wall next to my bed. Have gotten more than a few odd and worried looks from people when they see it but it's working a charm.
