Growing a beard says what about you?

I've always shaved daily like many men, now I feel its time to grow a beard... Beards these days are very professional, years ago when I started working in my current job beards were nowhere to be seen. Now so many staff members from supervisors to managers in my company have them. However it seems to be staff in the higher end of the food chain with stylish beards....Oddly enough lower paid floor staff that I'm employed to supervise are mostly clean shaven. I'm not sure why this is, maybe men in higher paid jobs feel it gives them a confident look?

In your opinion what does a man with a beard say about him and what does it say to you?

For myself, it means that I'm too lazy to shave regularly.

Not a damn thing. I'm perplexed that it's a necessary question.

Thinly veiled 'im a supervisor' thread, but not sure if sufficiently close to the top in the organnogram.

It mostly means beards are back in fashion and you are following this trend. I don't have a beard because I am a maverick ... and can't grove a proper one :)

See for example The real reason why beards go in and out of fashion

Are beards still in fashion? There doesn’t seem to be as many of those lads going around with a beard, disgusting ear hole thing, sleeve tattoo.

Usually I see someone with a beard and I think.. that person doesn't shave all their beard off.

It's not like you can assume they all behave in some kind of Blessed way or anything.

I shave once a week just as it gets itchy. A maintained beard (more than a month of growth) is more work than shaving as you have to keep trimming it and oiling daily it to keep it soft. Washing it after eating etc. If you don't it will get coarse pretty fast and most women hate that.

I'm see more waxed mustaches about. Which is odd.

Wouldn't say professions like medicine, law etc. are full of bearded types at all...

Have you ever tried growing watercress it's much easier.

What's this about the higher end of the food chain rubbish ???

Usually the higher end of the food chain are people with reptillian brains.

Its supervisor's like you that staff take the piss out of and you're a right candidate for dickhead of the year.

Beard's are for real men and with your attitude I care to differ

    Asalam alikum.....

If you have a face worth hiding, hide it.

It’s just hipster nonsense anyway. Same as it was with the Dubliners in the 70’s. Another couple of years and it will be moustaches, 10 more and it will be clean shaved and then we’ll repeat it all ad infinitum.

It doesn't say anything at all other than either their beard suits them or it doesn't. I'm fairly sure they give about as much thought to me being clean shaven as I do to their beard. The bit OP about your observations of beard or none based upon their position within your company is odd af tbh.

Depends on the style of the beard, what clothes they wear and their preferred mode of transport. For example:

This guy's beard says............... I so badly want your approval.

Whereas this guy's beard says............. go fuck yourself.
