Lamp Battery Packs

I've bought a lamp without a battery but it has a car cigarette connection.

This may be a stupid question but can i modify a car jump start kit to use it? (something like the attachment below). The reason i want to use one is they are easy to recharge and are very compact.

Would appreciate any suggestions.

I've been thinking of doing the same thing myself actually. Seems to be a good way of doing it compared to the Lithium ION Deben ones.

16800 milliamp hours .. Say your lamp is 100Watt... thats 8300 milliamps.. I believe..

So you'd think you'd get 2 hours out of it but given external factors.. voltage drop, battery condition etc etc .. I'd imagine you'd get maybe an hour and a bit.

I think i'm right in that... I usually deal with voltage that kills not tickles

Those three items and maybe an inline fuse is all you need for less than £50
