TA that I got a new job and now have to hand in my notice in my current place. I hate this, I feel guilty as I feel like I'm letting them down or leaving them short staffed but there are really no opportunities for me here so I have to move on. Deep breaths.

Don't feel guilty, you're leaving for a good reason, nobody can fault you for moving on to further your career. This will also allow your current employer to get in some new blood again, which is a good thing for them too.

Saw an ad on daft there, some fleecer in tallaght is looking for 540 a month off someone and only wants to let them stay Sunday night to Friday, and the landlord lives there! Boils my piss

    “The knock-on effect”

    “I’ve reached out to X”

Uggghhhhhh I can’t take people who keep using these phrases seriously.

That used to be fairly common years ago . Students or Civil servants would rent a room in a house Sunday to Friday and go back home for the weekend . At €135 a week I dont see a huge problem with that ?

    Well I do :P
I'm not from Dublin but there's no way in hell im doing the almost four hour trip down home every weekend. And I've lived with a landlord before. Never ****ing again :pac: so to combine those two things is probably the most unattractive renting package possible for me.

When people ask for an appointment that's very specific (let's say 3:40) an hour before they want it and when you explain no sorry it's not available they use what I'd describe as bully tactics to try get their preferred allocated appointment time. No. I'm sorry. Have a little bit of manners. It's not available. No amount of complaining or threatening to complain on social media will free it up.

Shopping - thought I bought a white loaf, had it in my hand I'm sure but by the time I got home it turned into a brown one. Minor TA but prefer white for toast.

    (Maybe it's haunted Halloween bread)

Speaking of which I bought a good few sweets in case kids call later, I remember the last time I was in for Halloween hardly anyone called and I had a pile of stuff that ended up in the bin weeks later. (not big sweet lovers here)

I went on a rare trip into town today and forgot to bring back a bag that I wanted to return, one of the main reasons I was going in :(. Also remembered why I don't often go in there, the place would melt your head.

I only buy what we would eat ourselves if left over now . So mini choc bars etc and no sugary sweets as we used to have so many left over

Its really TA when people board planes with their wheelie cases and shove them into the first available overhead locker they see, instead of bringing them to the locker over THEIR seat.

This means that people who get on after them have to find somewhere else to put their cases.

This drives the cabin staff mad as later arrivals have nowhere to put their cases and the staff pull out the cases in the overhead lockers which should not be there to put the rightful cases in, and then stow the trespassing bags anywhere they can find a space.

When the plane lands the owners of the bags which have been placed in someone else's locker push their way to the front to find their bag, which has now been moved elsewhere. So they are not happy either.

In the flights I have been on in the past few weeks the culprits have all been middle-aged males. Tush!
