I see that Masterstonemason is on the drift and is now worth an ew bet,9/2 at the moment and may go to 5s.

I think pronounced is the value back on this better ground
Has already beaten masteestonemason and is on much better terms today.
I like cyrius moriviere as well wetherby 2.45

    singles and double

    17:25 Wetherby
SEAMOUR 3-1 has not been seen over hurdles since his victory over C&D back in December 2014 but in the meantime he has proven himself to be an above-average stayer on the Flat. Based on those, I reckon he may be vastly underestimated by a mark of 131 over hurdles. Now making his handicap debut he can confirm himself on a workable mark.

    17:35 Lingfield A/W
SO CELEBRE 11/4 just touched off at Kempton 5 days ago having been given a chance by the assessor and now goes with first-time cheekpieces, he can resume winning ways.

Bits of 15/8 on Betfair for Indian Cheif to be in the first three home. 7/4 with Paddy's.

Hi,did not see your post until now and while it is correct to say Pronounced beat Masterstonemason it is only fair to point out that the last time they met Masterstonemason beat Pronounced by 30 lengths, totally turning the tables.

I appreciate and respect your comment and this is what we need on here,i,e all the opinions we can get.

Two placed at 6/1 and 12/1 my other fancy 5th in a big field so no harm done and I get a 25 euro free bet.

Thur racing does not inspire as I have not tuned in to the jumps game yet and the flat stuff is poor enough, still I have picked a few who might repay support.

Pallasator has been running in group races for the last few years and managed to win a group 3 for Mark Prescott last year.Would be giving some of these more than 3 stone in a handicap and the 2nd and 3rd favs are 10 year old chasers who only ran in a bumper race many years ago (both won their respective bumpers).

Pallasator is now trained by Gordon Elliot presumably to go over hurdles. Was well beaten last time over 2 miles but only dropped away in the final furlong and if Norman Williamson does not fall off he should win even though this a fun race.Pun 1 20 9/4 PP.

Pick A Little has top weight in the 3 35 at Brighton and those below him are usless enough, the horse has won 4 times around Brighton and can make it 5 after a good run lto at around 2/1.

Eddiebet in the 8 15 at Newcastle has the form to beat the rest in a very poor maiden, however we do not know how fit he is after being off for 150 days but I will risk a few quid on him.

I was putting that last run when beaten 30 lengths down to the heavy going as on pronounced previous 2 runs he beat masterstonemason both times so that run looked to bad to be true, I can't help but think he will pop up in a handicap on decent ground this season be cause he should be much closer to masterstonemason on previous form shown and it wouldn't surprise me if he gos for a break now.

Yea lucky Pick A Little held on but I had a big smile on my face when Pallasator turned in going so easy in 3rd with Williamson swinging out of him must have been 1/999 on Betair and I hope Boardies were listening to the screams of the formbook about this one.

A couple of nice bets landed at 9/4 last night and 2/1 today when it became apparent he was fancied.Stones in hand and wins without breaking sweat,if only it was always this easy.

I hope eddiebet is fit, would be a lovely little treble if it comes in😀 cheers Zimmer

Went to 3.4 on BF before the money came & well done and yes, if only all days were like this

Zimmer, what would you fancy in this without Eddibet? I stand to collect a fairly substantial sum if he wins, and would appreciate your thoughts, thanks

Lewinsky would have a chance,it is a poor race and if Omeara's horde is fit he should win.

No joy,Eddibet did not look wound up I will keep an eye on him.Another reasonable day and I hope there are more to come.

    Any fancies for today?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,921 ✭✭✭zimmermania

Just 1 bet for me today,Acrux in the 7 15 Newcastle. The formbook says this fellow was hampered last time when running in a 7 furlong handicap at Newcastle.

I did not see much evidence of the horse being hampered and the little I saw was of the jockey's making, last out of the stalls and never asked a serious question throughout the race he ran on real well under hand riding when seeing daylight in the final furlong.

In a poor handicap Acrux is good enough to give weight to the entire field and continue Omeara's good record with horses from other stables.I do not expect the horse to be as tenderly handled tonight and he rates the day's best, and my only bet.

    8.15 bearag

    Any fancies zimmer?

I have been unable to do much checking of the form on those races.i can tell you that Aleef has been backed and failed to deliver a number of times and might come good one day but I won't back it SAT,Bearag has some ability and will win a race but not sure when,Boots and Spurs would appear to have little chance and Donjuan Triumphant could be placed.

I have backed Thunder Snow ew in the 3 15 at Ascot and give it a good chance PP paying 4 places.

I may get a chance to have a look at some races before 1 oc and if I do I will put up what I think are value bets.

Thought for a while he was going to win but was just run out of it,maybe a drop back to 7 furlongs might suit.

    fairyhouse 3.05
    It's all for luck @ 12/1

Only had 5 runs and on his 4 th and handicap debut was a close up 4th of 30 over 6F at the curragh which was hugely encouraging, he was dropped to 5f on his next start at the curragh and again showed his turn was near when staying on well for a never nearer 4th.
The 6F today looks ideal and I expect a huge run.

    Fairyhouse 3.40
    Invincible queen 6/1
Won really well with this 10 pound claimer last time and appeared to improve for the soft ground which it gets again today.

    In the fairyhouse 2.35
Lady Sonia is making its handicap debut for Andrew slattery and the jockey is 10 pound claimer Andy slattery, I presume it's the trainers son but I've never seen him riding, the horse is interesting as it has made the running in a couple of maidens but struggled to get home and in this much weaker handicap could take some pegging back off this low weight.

Catterick 3.30 - confessional should run a big race at 6/1

Ascot I like harry angel ,cracksman ,rib chester, and order of st George they should win
Hydrangea is interesting up in trip, In the 4.30 it looks like the grape escape has been freshened up for the backend of the season and has won his last 2 @ 8/1 I think he will run well.

Stratford 3.00 Bristol de mai 4/1
Will take all the beating even off his big weight.

At wolves tonight there's a number of interesting Irish horses.

doesn't get much better than today, like a lot of these, all ascot, place prices all with hills, usual singles/4folds/5folds/ew acca done

1.25 stradivarius 7/1 bigger bet on 3 places at 6/5 with hills (struggling to see it out of the frame)
harry angel 11/8 will prob go off shorter
journey 4/1 bigger bet on two places 6/4
beat the bank 11/2 bigger on 3 places 5/6
zabeel prince 4/1 bigger on 3 places evens
    cracksman 9/4

    good luck all

Ground and winds could play a role in Ascot today so I have had a few small ew bets at fancy prices.

2 OC Librisa Breeze 12/1 ew money back 2nd 3rd or 4th to fav PP.
    Alyssa 20/1 2 40 ew.
    Recolitos,loves heavy 20/1 3 50 money back 2nd 3rd or 4th to fav PP
Thunder Snow already put up at 16s
Cracksman win bet has been looked after this year and should be fresh today 2/1.

    Ascot 4.20 Zabeel Prince 4-1

Zabeel Prince easily won his maiden at Nottingham, beofre hacking up in a Yarmouth handicap in September. Both those wins were on soft ground, and his knee action suggests that surface should suit too. He had no trouble on better ground at York last time though, when despite pulling hard for the first half of the race, he cantered to the front two down, and won by almost three lengths in a decent handicap. He's undoubtedly still well in off just six pounds higher, has plenty of scope to do better again, and the only worry would be if they don't go a good pace, he could pull again. He is my best bet today.

Good start for me and I could not post any earlier,it was nearly a dream start as I backed and was going to post that Jessica Harringtons Torcedor was worth an ew bet in the 1 25.

I backed it ew and have it in a small ew lucky 15 with Librisa Breeze and a couple of the long priced horses I posted earlier,Torcedor was returned at 25/1 and only beaten 1/2 a length,i would have had a bit of a sweat had it won!!.Still my €15 ew Librisa Breeze will ensure an ok day once again.

I will of course screenshot the Torcedor bet to keep the screenshot police sane.

What do I know!!,Boots and Spurs who finished 58 lengths behind the winners of the last 3 races albeit in better class comes out and wins the 4 40 at Catterick today at 12/1.I hope you were on and I see the horse is engaged at Southwell tomorrow, well done for finding that one.

Haha shame about me other picks. The big win will have to wait until another day. I actually got him at 20-1. Backed all day into 12-1 and won very easily. The horse was well handicappedWith the 7 pound claim raced off 70, its lowest ever mark. When I saw the price continue to shorten before the off I knew I was on to a good thing especially from the Dixon yard.
