He's a nice oul divil though. Imagine being forced on a date with Paul Brennan or Louis Gleeson..

As a fella i think my worst nightmare would be being forced on a date with Niamh..

That's what makes this cult story so riveting- fresh blood, new and complex characters and some interesting stories. Not the usual absolute crap like Pete and Damien, Delores walking up the street and Paul and Niamh pretending to leave each other every few months.
Long live Phoenix Way, I bow to Manson!

Why would anyone within spitting distance of their own home, office or convenience store go into a cafe for a tea to go?

Will Pete take down Manson, hmmmm. Most original storyline in years because yes, while Miriam got the cash in the end, there is more going on in terms of brainwashing and destroying her charges. She even makes ME want to join, her manipulation is chilling, good actress no doubt.
If she wanted cash she would just run a chain of arcade centres in the city. Manson is obviously 100% signed up to the Phoenix Way and is intent on bringing her new cult to Ireland and beyond.

I thought Renee's 'I don't believe it' was hilarious. Great timing and positioning.

Pete is going to be brainwashed himself, eventually....

I hope so, might improve his character.
The most shocking change is Emmet, he is like a complete puppet doing everything for Manson.

Renee and Jackie are the new Bob and Pete....

I'm surprised Emmet was so easy, I thought he'd be hard to crack.

He's always been a bit flaky though and something of a bum wandering aimlessly through life.

Just a quick obsdrvation, the garage burn down 6-7 months ago, doug and Pete gutted it 2-3 months ago, why isnt it rebuilt, when Ray said they can work in the garage on the car until its reopened, but its gutted nothing there because its demolished.... Where is Wayne, i know Pete loaned him money but hasnt he a mortgage on the place.... Should he still not be trying to sell cars over the phone etc.. Just another major storyline that FC have forgotten...

I am wondering if emmet has got a long term plan . He is a gambler always interested in making money. Say if its all an act and he sees the PW as a great money making scheme, more than what he could ever get on gambling and wants to ultimately get manson's job and then clear off with the takings? His goody goody image is i am finding a bit too hard to swallow at the moment and im not buying it, its too out of character

I kind of thought like that at the start, but I think Emmet is still showing his old self in many ways- he is a scam artist at heart hence the whole pretending to have cancer. He also still has an eye for the ladies as proved by the scene the other night as he ogled the new members.

I think what Manson has zoned in on is his absolute guilt over what happened to Katy- remember, he was ultimately to blame because his treatment of Tessa led to the kidnap in the first place. He struggled to go to the first few sessions with Manson but now it gives him a purpose and meaning (and money, Manson did mention the therapists and workers need to get paid) so he is complete putty in Phoenix Ways hands and I sense he will be the last to be reformed.

Surely Katy is due back soon from Cult HQ in Donegal?? That should be very interesting.

do you think the poor young girl who has been 'fired' from the PW is gonna do herself in? - she looks terrified of miriam now and very tormented that she has gone 'back to her old ways' and scurried out of the pub when miriam walked in

I'm very concerned about the arcade. Who is managing that while Manson is in the holistic centre? I mean phone cover stalls and coffee shops NEED an arcade manager!!! Very negligent. Definitely not the Phoenix Way to leave people in the lurch. I might get onto Head Office about it.

To be fair this was explained. Manson mentioned it to Christiano few months back that she was handing over her position to another manager to concentrate on "the group".

I'm very confused. What did Hannah do? How is she gone back to her old ways?

Would presume she was some kind of slapper and thats how miriam coaxed her in and when she wanted her to sleep with doug she made her feel like she would be going back to her old ways so she would be a failure

But she didn't do anything with Doug?

What exactly was Hannah's role? Was she paid? Anyway, she, Doug and Pete along with eventually Emmett will be onto Miriam. It is also now clear that the group itself seems genuine but Miriam is using it in dodgy ways. More a scam than a cult though it would seem?

I think a great story would be if Hannah had a sex addiction and she raped either Emmett or Pete!

That should be said at the end of every episode!
