It was not barging through though. It would be a lot safer if the op moved out and let the other driver merge instead of having the marging car stop and then having to build up speed again from a standstill.

Anyway I see the op has removed the video which says it all really

if the camera car were to speed up/slow down/move over, the effect is that other vehicles will also have to do so. The merge is designed so that the merger finds the space without disrupting everyone else.

It looked to me as if this merger made no effort to position him/herself properly.

If this is going to come up every time a ‘bad’ merge video is posted, this thread is doomed.

Either stop posting merge videos (as they always lead to 2/3 pages of sh1te), or let’s all agree to disagree about what takes precedence on a merge, common courtesy or the “f**k you, this lane is mine” attitude.

Last discussion there was no doubt who the see you next tuesday was as the merger went over the hedge markings and all.
I didnt see this one but reading the comments, this one was different.

I dont mind these discussions, some people might learn something from it.
There are way too many people on the road who think their indicators are to be considered as stop signs for other road users.

Indicate, you stop and i go (merge) as it were.

The merger was fine, the op didn't have to distrupt anyone and could see the car coming well before the end of the merging road so had plenty of time to make a move. Instead the op ploughed on and knew what he/she was doing.

At that particular spot there is a merge to get into lane to go straight ahead plus the guy came from behind to try skip traffic then he started roaring out the window when he undertook to go back into behind the driver in the first place ,three teen muppets in car.
