I don't recall anyone saying there were 100+ dead.

clowns here who went into FB and pulled their entire liked page history just to fit an agenda is just sad.

I did that because people were literally saying that he could be a Trump-hating Republican. And the other guy who couldn't fathom any use of logic asked for proof. It ended like two pages of nonsense.

Jesus H Christ, 50 people out enjoying a night out. Sometimes I wonder about the media covering these things at all. I know it's practically impossible now not to cover them but I just feel it gives the fame hungry psycho an outlet.

That's not the reason why people are posting FB links on this thread.

The reason I posted a screencap of likes was because of the sanctimonious moaning about someone being called a 'leftist'.

I was merely showing why I did so. I didn't link to their page and nor did I name them, for reasons obvious.

You mean to say that a speculative discussion post I made wasn't scalpel accurate?! I'll just go hide under the covers now, I can't deal with the shame of it.

    Wtf is wrong with you?

    War veteran. Said it earlier.

That list of facebook likes, was that actually accurate, or was that someone else's? There's been so much misinformation in this thread that I've lost track.

Appalling incident, whatever his motives, I'm damn sure they weren't worth the lives of fifty people.

Someone else's. The Stephen name got mentioned early on in this thread but then another one got brought in, and elsewhere on the web, it was posted as well.

    Terrible news.

No doubt Trump will defend "America's beautiful gun laws and freedom' shortly.

FFS the American fetish for the free availability of military grade weapons bites them in the ass again!

RIP to all those innocents caught up in this and I hope those injured recover fully.

There is no justification to allowing an ordinary member of the public to own a fully automatic weapon that can wreak such havoc from a distance in such a short period of time.

The shooting went on for 7-8 minutes before the police got to him (or he ran out of bullets) according to some guy on Fox. I'd be very surprised if the death toll stays in and around 20 considering the size of the crowd and the advantages the shooter had from an elevated firing position in that time.

Youre right, over 50 confirmed dead now. Will easily surpass last years Pulse nightlcub shooting as the deadliest massacre in US history by one man

Its a pity the Hate that is in such a small minority, destroys the majority of good.

Maintaining a list like this also punches a hole in the NRA argument that if mass shootings are televised, more mass shootings will occur via copycats. In fact, most of these shootings do not receive more than a day's worth of local coverage. Yet mass shootings continue to occur anyway. We believe mass shootings should receive more publicity, not less.

Well yeah. They need more guns, obviously. They should change the law so everyone must carry a gun. If everyone at the concert had been armed 50 people would not be dead. I mean, what could possibly go wrong...?

Even in the context of their love of guns, it's madness to allow such access. But will anything change, hardly :(

Not so far, nothing could justify what he did but it will be interesting to see what his deluded motive was.
