Really not sure how you think this a good idea :P

What am I missing? Does the 3 grand need to be spent on the PS store or just in general purchases.
It doesn't specify in the ad.

    It's $3k in general.

    Would rather a Switch TBH.

I'd rather have the SNES collection games on my Switch.

It's a lovely little piece of kit though, and I'm already having a lot of fun with it.

Yeah the 20 games is putting me off. Should be way more for the price they're asking.

I never played Super Metroid back in the day, playing on the snes mini last night. How did people figure out how to use the morphing ball?
You lucky bastard! That's probably in my top three games ever along with Witcher 3 and Mario 64, played it again about two years back and it has aged excellently as well. Enjoy!

(and yes it was in the manual, which had a dragon like boss on the front of it and since I was about 8 or 9 was the coolest thing ever at the time! :p:o )

    It's $3k in general.

But that's only to get the rebate on the PlayStation plus sub.

You're still getting reward points for everything else upto and after that.

100 points is $1 reward so credit or whatever else they put up.
Earn 5,000 bonus points after your first purchase within 90 days of approval
Earn 5 points for every $1 spent on PlayStation Network purchases
Earn 5 points for every $1 spent on all Sony and Playstation purchases at Sony stores and Sony.com
Earn 3 points for every $1 spent on your mobile phone bill
Earn 1 point on all other purchases

If you have a PlayStation then it seems like a pretty good deal. Saying that, that's comparing it to Irish cards. We don't really do reward cards here like they do in the US. If you compare it to other cards available to US residents then it might not be so good.

Ha yeah mine gives supervalue rewards ... we've no supervalue in town

I honestly find that opinion baffling. I've no real interest in one for myself but you're talking about some of the best games ever made, in a pretty nice looking package with two controllers for €80-100. How much would you expect it to be?

I guarantee when (if) these games come to Switch, they'll be €10 minimum each.

Honestly thinks it's a great price for all those games. There isn't one duff game on the system, the worst being Donkey Kong Country and even that is worth playing. The rest are pretty much all solid classics. There's also a few on there that are extremely expensive to buy originals of and of course 1 game that never got a release before now.

Find it much better than most other classic collections and systems that usually have a lot of filler.

It's more of the fact that I can't add games to the collection. I'd have no problem paying that if I could have access to a store where I could buy more games.

Well... there is a way, but it kind of does seem bizarre that Nintendo haven't offered a VC type store.

Nioh is being released on Steam on 7th November!
Definitely recommended to whoever didn't pick it up on the PS4.

Kirby's Dream Course is pretty weak and a weird thing to include when the bigger problem is what's NOT there

Thank god I hung on. Koei Tecmo are up there with capcom when it comes to whoring themselves out to other platforms that I knew it wouldn't stay exclusive.

I actually really love dream course and not sure why some people aren't fans. It's heaps of fun. While there are better snes games I think you'd have a tough time trying to argue that it's bad.

I'm not arguing it's bad, I'm arguing there's a lot of better stuff that should have been included over it and that's a pretty easy argument to make

Is that the first time that the length of the delay was mentioned.

All the secrecy and it possible only 3 months, most assumed it was a year and it may be a year now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,549 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

I thought it had full exclusivity to Xbox (and PC) so I'm happy that ps4 will get it eventually.

If you haven't tried Fortnite BR I would highly recommend it, it's savage craic.

I have it downloaded it but haven't tried it yet, a rare influx of games atm. Fortnite looks a bit cartoony? I like the look of PUBG, looks more appealing to me but I think that's because I Selassie like the look of dayz type survive em ups but never got to play them.

That's the first time, but as there's been no talk of the length from anyone else, and even the way it's phrased ("a standard three months", which I've never really heard of), would imply to me that they're talking through their a**e.

I understand that the exclusivity deal kicks in on "release", so they'll have all of the early access before the timed period starts.

The Sag aftra ended a week or 2 ago.

Union calling it a great victory as you'd expect.

    Offered in October 2016
Publishers offered a 9 percent wage hike. Additionally, they offered additional compensation of up to $950 per game based on the number of voice acting sessions an actor did on a particular game.

    Accepted in September 2017
SAG-AFTRA said the deal includes a new bonus structure that provides an additional payment to performers. The bonus payment, which is due no later than the release date of the game, is based on the number of sessions worked on each game, beginning with a $75 payment on the first session and totalling $2,100 after 10 sessions worked. As well as being given more information on projects

So a bit over twice the bonus and no wage increase and they get told what project it is before accepting after a year of a strike. No royalties and no mention of any health and safety changes that they were pushing for.

I know this game has been around decades and is all about killing nazis. But tapping into the liberal anti trump agenda like this is a bit lame. Hopefully this is just a marketing gimick and not a theme of the game.

Not a theme of the game? Do you know what Wolfenstein is?

I think they're upset at the implied comparison of Trump, and by extension his supporters, with nazis.

But no, anyone in the US who is not still completely hysterical about the outcome of their presidential election is LITERALLY A NAZI etc. etc
