What are the best clubs (new or second hand) for a beginner? I got a set of AP2s at a bargain but I can't get used to them at all! Any advice is welcome!!

I wouldn't use anything as small as the AP2. I wouldn't be confident i'd hit the middle of the club enough. And you really need to be doing that with a club like the AP2.

A lot of golf choice is very subjective so you're only getting opinion on here.

I would think that something in the Mizuno JPX range would be a good fit for a starter. They don't look too big & clunky, but should still offer good forgiveness. I'd imagine you could pick up an earlier version from the range for a pretty good price.

Anything from the Ping G range is good too.
