I'm kind of afraid to watch it as I think it'll be a disappointment compared to the others.

Wynonna Earp season 1 added today.
Well worth a watch. I don't think there's been a genre show with as much wit since "Buffy". The cast really gel well. I'm saving the second season to savou r over a little. It's been renewed for a third too.

I see it compared to Buffy a lot but personally I think it's better than Buffy ever was. Then again it could just be that I was pretty young when Buffy was on and it also looks fairly dated now.

Yup, the chemistry is ludicrously good between the cast, and the show's a hoot to watch; really walks the narrow line between goofy and heartfelt.

Only quibble is that Doc is near-indecipherable half the time to me, his moustache and drawl making it hard to know what the hell he's saying :D

Just finished Little Evil which was released today. I wasn't expecting it to be so funny but I really enjoyed it and there were some good cameos in supporting roles.

    Hows S3 of Narcos going?

Finally got around to watching A Syrian Love Story. Fascinating little docu that starts looking like it will go one direction, and then starts swerving in other ones instead - the title is accurate, but cannot encapsulated the complex central relationship recorded here. A startling account of one family's experiences over several years as Syria falls. Heartbreaking at times, oddly heartwarming at others. Really interesting study of a documentary maker becoming entangled in what he's documenting - one of the film's most dramatic developments seems to have been a direct consequence of his filming, and yet the family are endlessly receptive and open with the man wielding the camera. Not to mention some valuable, illuminating footage captured on the streets and ancient sites of Syria before the war(s) really kicked off (Assad going full dictator with his image everywhere, including schoolbooks).

Only 75 minutes or so, and well worth a go.

    Been watching The Mist lately.

It's a bit slow moving but still watchable if you are into that kinda thing.
It's a mix of The Fog, The Birds, Under the Dome and The Walking Dead.

Watched the first couple of episodes. Does it get better? Terrible writing and terrible acting so far.

I really wanted it to be good too.

I think it could have been better but it is still quite watchable. I wanted it to be better as it had potential, felt I kinda had to watch all the episodes after starting it. It's certainly not the kinda series you would watch a second time.

I just finished Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia. 134 episodes of absolute excellence. One of the funniest shows out there and it's so quotable

Yep.. could be quite a wait for another season..
and if there is one, it potentially will be Dennis-less! :(

If that does happen I don't think they should go ahead with a new series

    Agreed.. because of the implication!

It amazes me that it was nearly cancelled. The original pilot was made for the price of a few camcorder tapes and to think it didn't win any awards till like series 10.

I watched Buster's Mal Heart last night. It's kind of infuriating the way it finishes up but it's a interesting enough ride through a fractured psyche ably handled by Remi Malek and I'm still thinking about it today so it obviously has something going for it. The final scenes jarred with me slightly and it doesn't resolve itself very satisfactorily so it's a hard enough one to recommend to people but if you're looking for something offbeat and atmospheric, it's worth a watch.
