I would argue that the DashCam driver was partly responsible for this accident, he deliberately kept out over the white line to frustrate the BMW drivers earlier attempts to overtake, was driving at an unacceptably slow speed for much of his journey, then antagonised the BMW when he finally did get around him and verbally abused him. As a direct result of this I am sure the BMW driver was fuming and which caused him to drive at excessive speed and crash.

The dashcam driver though he owned the road and got jealous of the BMW and tried to frustrate him successfully, resulting in dangerous driving and an accident. His behaviour at the scene of the accident after was disgraceful. But as it was a BMW I guess good enough for him right?? Despite that BMW being around 15 years old and the Dashcam driving a newer more valuable car people will side with the dashcam man.

Nah, the BMW driver was acting the c**t (BMW driver here)

If someone in front wants to drive in a way that prevents the overtake, no amount of driving up their arse is going to change that, sit back and wait for the right (safe) opportunity.

After the BMW did overtake, the BMW stopped on the main (winding) road. your saying thats not a dick move? once the BMW passed, he should have been on his merry way, not stopping looking for further confrontation.

Everyone ( including the righteous) is responsible for their own actions regardless of the perceived provocation. Sometimes Karma is a bitch. :)

Actually liked the topcomment under that BMW\karma\dashcam even better.

Seriously broken sarcasm detector in that second one:

Top: Dashcam driver is an idiot too. Driving on the wrong side of the road the entire clip.
Answer: Are you really that stupid?

If the Guards would prosecute based on video evidence I would go out and buy a cam for each windown in my car
They will use video evidence as backup to your statement when they prosecute. It's a painful process to go through, having to give a detailed statement, usually in the station, for each complaint.

Brilliant, love the three gobsh1tes doing the dance at 0:30, and the Gardai with the sync'ed indicators. But why didn't they stay sync'ed?

you aren't getting it... it's not about you doing anything, it's about the Gards using a video posted as evidence and I assume suggesting that people shouldn't post incriminating videos as it isn't done to be a grass.
Are you 15? Most people got over the idea of grassing around that age.

Dashcam trip through Amsterdam by DAPD (Dutch America Police Department) a non profit organisation that takes care of transport of chronically or terminally ill children from their hospital bed to events.

And the name isnt just random as these are their vehicles

Although i do think that the 4th from the left is a Chevrolet Suburban that hasnt been imported, we use to have those in Rotterdam as a standard patrol car. Just as we used to have 911 targa's to patrol the motorways.

Bus driver, He was entering a road so the onus is on him to make sure the way is clear. The car was looking behind him and the way was clear.

Cheers, I guess it would just have been total chance they were in sync the first time round, (due to them putting them on at the right time independently) Odds of it happening again immediately the next time they used em would be astronomical :pac:

It happens regularly enough for some reason. It's a large roundabout but it's clearly a roundabout. I don't know how people get it so wrong. I seen people exit the that roundabout to go the wrong way up the motorway off ramp too.

If someone can miss massive roundabout signs, I wonder how dangerous they are around pedestrians...!

That driver did well to stop in time. Took long enough to move into the shoulder whilst there are collisions happening to his/her right. Moved just in time too with that artic moving into the space he/she vacated

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,777 ✭✭✭Isambard

someone hit the artic too. People took a long time to abandon ship!

Cant understand why the blue Focus didnt keep going and get the flock out of that situation, besides just pulling in and hazards on, blocking other cars escape routes.

Easy say now of course, but my first thought would be get the hell out of there.

That's a perfect example of why you shouldn't drive into a space you can't see.

Do people seriously have no common sense!

I would have been driving at a snails pace as soon as I saw the smoke.

Drive according to road conditions, i.e, very poor visibility.

I hate having to share the road with people with no gumption whatsoever.

    /edit- fog
