Hi myself and my wife are thinking of buying in Mullingar along with our 2 young children. We are looking at a house in Ardilaun and I was wondering if anyone has any info about the area and lifestyle in Mullingar in general. I will be commuting to Dublin for work but that's not an issue. I was hoping also for information regarding schools and activities for children. Any and all info welcome. Thanks

Look on the Dublin side of Mullingar if commuting. Ardilaun wouldn't excite me too much I'm afraid. Grand for renting but I wouldn't buy to live there.

Thanks for the reply. Is there just nothing around that area?

Have a look at Lakepoint, close to the N4 and schools, cinema and town.
