My bad, replacing the tubes, so repair!

Maybe I'll see if there's someone local (London) who wants the job. If it comes down to it and I'm looking to offload the frame, I'll pop back here :)

    Sorry for your loss!

My recollection from when I wrote off my Mercian Pro is that Mercian's price wasn't far off the cost of a new frame. By the time new tubes, headset, forks, respraying, transfers, labour, shipping etc was included, it just didn't make economic sense. Emotion and nostalgia nearly won out but, after a couple of years of it hanging on the wall of the shed, I gave it to Rothar who may have salvaged some bits.

I was awarded damages which covered replacement, thankfully.

I remember reading about your dead frame and wincing at the time...

I'm working my way down at the moment, trying to find my lowest possible position ever so gradually so I'm not going to cut it until I've settled on something.

Think I found my future sweetheart today. I go weak at the knees for matt carbon. Stunning in the flesh. A frame set would do nicely. Complete bike is stupid money.

This is beautiful. Look after a long time produced a frame that is not littered with unneeded and stupid angles.

^^ I wonder whether that front rack is actually usable for anything.

Normal front panniers (mounted high for clearance) and shelf to support a large bar bag?

That might be the least ugly disc brake bike I've seen as I barely noticed them

    MINE!!

Didnt really want to build it this year but hand was forced after a bearing race seized on my other one.
Currently has old Athena on it but will shod it with Chorus as soon as budget allows!

Not a fan of the rims here. I like them on some bikes like all black but top marks for the flash of blue on the break pads.

EDIT: Would coloured tyres work here, if you could find a match ? Saw some recently on a bike , just the contact surface was red the walls were normal black.

I think the brake pads are Reynolds cryo pads that come with the wheels. Very good pads and the colour was a bonus for the build!

Too much black...personally I'm tired of stealth black bikes now.
Not that I'd say no to that one.

After 86k and over 1500m of climbing on sunday, this is easily the most beautiful thing I saw when I stopped at Sallys Gap. Bought it in Laragh when having lunch, flew up the 20k to the gap and this was my treat.
