It is obvious that they are setting up a Miriam/Katy story. Emmett and Charlotte seem to see no harm in Miriam and think she would be of help to Katy.

Elsewhere Paul and Niamh are being ... Paul and Niamh! The usual insults directed at each other. They will be back in love soon enough wait and see! What will Paul's line of business be though? So far they have not showed his current work life.

Will we see Dermot again I wonder? A longterm prison storyline would be something different that was not done before (I mean a real official prison not the Katy stories btw). Surely they could bring back Barry too who is near the end of his sentence.

This Carol, Cathal and Trigger's pals story may set up some interesting ones. It would be good to explore some of Billy Meehan's world and have a new Meehan thug emerge and let's have Sylvester Garrigan (introduce via prison storyline, he's another at the tail end of his term by now surely) and Mick too. Plus Farrell the solicitor. There was a hint Ali is to come back?

Ironically Katy is still more or less living like she did when Ciaran held her. Just in more luxury and with a caring friend who cannot get her to leave her self imposed status of prisoner. I think Miriam's group will be the thing that gets Katy out of the house and this will be where we see the true Miriam develop if they decide to take the cult route with this story.

Katy being amazed that the media knew it was Ciaran's birthday, thinking someone had leaked it or they were listening in on her conversations.. It's not like someone's birthday is a massive secret, I'd say a journalist wouldn't have too much trouble figuring it out!

There doesn't seem anything exciting coming up for the autumn at all not like the other soaps the same ri ra niamh and paul with their snide comments etc I don't hold out much for the cult storyline either tbh probably miriam and her phoenix way will just disappear and never be mentioned again

I caught the end of an ad for Fair City next week and it looks kike things are unravelling for Carol. I'm guessing the promised returnee(s) are connected to her - Ali and Lorcan Jr or even Louie

They need to do a disaster/major incident to shake things up and do a bit of a cull on the cast at the same time a la Eastenders, Corrie etc

Yeah it's completely ridiculous and you just know this is going to go on up to Christmas and beyond I hope this return their talking about isn't the guy that niamh was going to run away with that American guy knowing fair city it wouldn't surprise me!

Big time. They really really need to cut Paul, Niamh, Caddle, Delores and Laura and Damien, absolutely pointless characters at this stage. Some fresh blood is very badly required.

They've already done hurricane (sort of) Lorraine Doyle (nee Molloy) was killed by one on her honeymoon. Jaysus when you think of it the Doyle's have no luck as newlyweds - between poor Lorraine then Rita having a stroke at Suzannes wedding..

More a sociopath in that he puts on a face for people depending on the situation in order to get what HE wants out of the situation. He doesn't care about the consequences of his actions but would he enjoy torturing or killing people? Probably not.
