Enjoyed Flight with Denzel Washington. An airline pilot pulls off a miraculous flight rescue but the official enquiries afterwards focus on his lifestyle.

Thought the John Goodman character was great.

    8/10

I've seen it before, I agree John Goodman is brilliant in it.

Finished Ozark last night and loved it. Would definitely recommend it to a friend!

Yes me too. I imagine a 2nd series will come out.

Might be a bit old but Aussie show Glitch is excellent. A Netflix produced second series is out in next few weeks.

Glitch is so good. It's back on the 14th of September and hope we'll get a week-by-week release of it on Netflix.

    Been watching The Mist lately.

It's a bit slow moving but still watchable if you are into that kinda thing.
It's a mix of The Fog, The Birds, Under the Dome and The Walking Dead.

The film is incredible, and available in black and white, and colour. Black n white version is the best.

Watched the remake of The Magnificent Seven with Denzel Washington. Was pleasantly surprised that it was a decent enough western that didn't rely too much on the original.

If that's the film I'm thinking of then to this day I regret watching it because of the ending. It's the one time an ending to a film really left me queasy and shaken up inside a little for some time after. At the time, I was simply far too young to watch it.

Yep! That's probably it alright. Most un-Hollywood ending I've ever seen.

Gave up on Disjointed after a couple of episodes. Just not funny! :(

It's interesting because you can pin point the moment in the film where the studio stepped in and forced the director to make a different film.

Bone Tomahawk is great Western/Horror movie sure to get cult status. Be warned theirs a few rough scenes in it.

Just looked at the director's IMDB page. Perhaps unsurprisingly he has no upcoming movies at all. Especially after his verbal tirade against the studios.

Tonight's movie was American Gangster. Brilliant Ridley Scott film about a black drug lord played by Denzel Washington who was pursued by a cop played by Russell Crowe.

Something Wild leaving tonight. Early performance's from Jeff Danieliels and Ray Liotta and directed by Jonatan Demme. Never seen it before last night but really underrated crime/rom-com/road movie from the late 80s. Ray Liotta is really terrifying as the ex, his first big performance before Goodfellas, knows how to play it crazy.

    :D

I'm really enjoying Lovesick at the moment, Channel 4 show about a man who discovers he has chlamydia and has to tell all his exes. Its really interesting in that's it's mainly told via flahsback. It's a really enjoyable cast (although the male lead is the least likeable) but the character development is really good and its very funny at times.

It seems to be getting a lot more praise since they changed name from Scrotal Recall :pac:

I didn't watch it when it was on Channel 4 because the name suggested something like American Pie style gross out humour. I watched both series on Netflix and loved it. They're supposed to be doing a 3rd series but two of the main cast are on different shows now so who knows.

Jesus was it actually called that!? That's terrible and doesn't do any Justice to the show

Yep, when the first season was aired on channel 4 that was the name it had!

Thanks for letting me catch it in time, it was great. Funny they just called him Ray.

    Didn't expect that
Charlie wasn't actually having an affair at all. It's hilarious that that actually makes her angry. It's actually a much more romantic movie then I was expecting, which was more him getting into slapstick with a crazy woman.

I feel like their algorithm is terrible for unearthing these hidden gems like this. Their twitter just posts dumb jokes a lot instead of promoting them.

    Zone Troopers added today

    Synopsis per Netflix;
Two American soldiers captured by the Nazis are shocked to discover that a fellow prisoner is an extraterrestrial.

Nazis and Aliens together at last, Saturday night with the missus sorted, erm....

I remember watching that on VHS back in the 80's the great b-movie star Tim Thomerson is the star :)

Tim Van Patten the other guy in it was the star of a series I loved as a kid The Master starring Lee Van Cleef a corny Ninja series.

Van Patten also directed the pilot episode of Game of Thrones.

Wynonna Earp season 1 added today.

Takes an episode or two for it all to click into place but easily one of the most enjoyable shows I've watched this year. Season 2 just finished and it's even better. It won't be for everyone, it's a SyFy show so it's not going to blow you away with it's special effects but it's got some of the best writing and character development of anything I watch at the moment and it's genuinely really funny too, so do yourself a favour and give this show a shot.

Brief synopsis, Wyatt Earp was cursed by a demon and his ancestors are forced to spend their days hunting the resurrected demon versions of all the people he shot dead with his gun, Peacemaker. There is only one heir who can fire the gun and they only become the heir when the previous one dies and/or they're 27. Enter Wynonna, an outcast who was briefly institutionalized as a teen for talking about the family curse who finds herself returning to her home town on the eve of her 27th birthday. There's also a super shady top secret government task force, a not quite immortal but forever youngish Doc Holliday and an amazingly camp and over the top head villain called Bobo.
