I'm getting the same issue on my iPhone and Mac for the past three or four days. Not sure who to contact or is it a general problem with Eir?

Me also happens every once in a while usually starts when I try to return an email

I deleted the email account and reset it on my iphone worked fine
Next day(Sunday) same problem came up on the iPad
    Didn't go at it yet

Have the same issue here on an iPhone, deleted the account and recreated and it didn't fix it.

If you switch Use SSL off it should work, but it's up to you if you want to do that.

Settings- Mail- eircom email address- Advanced- Use SSL
