Keep vintage B&W DM2s or go for something more modern?

    I have a pair of B&W Dm2 that I inherited. Love the sound and look of them but think I'm annoying the neighbours with bass and they are quite big in our living room. I have 2 options.
    1. Sell them and get something modern for example Q Acoustics 3020 or Wharfedale Diamond 220s. Can't imagine bass would transfer as much. Wouldn't take as much space. Would I notice a huge drop in quality or is modern speaker engineering better?
    2. Try to get stands for them. Unfortunately I don't have stands for them so I know this would contribute to the bass through the wall problem. I haven't been able to source stands for them. Any suggestions on where to get them? If I did get stands would this make a huge difference to the bass problem do you think?
    Driving them with a Technics su-7300 if that makes any difference.

    The old B&Ws are in a different league to the Q Acoustics 3020 or Wharfedale Diamond 220s... a higher one just to be clear!

    As for speaker stands... this guy in Dundalk makes them himself and they're very good (I use a pair myself on old Rogers speakers). I'm sure he could supply you with a pair short enough to have the tweeter level with your ears when listening - very important for stereo spread and imagery/soundstage.
