Episode 6 has been leaked in Spain apparently - after someone pushed a button accidentally or so I hear.. Time to avoid the internet for a week...

So just to recap; the entire episode six aired on HBO in Spain in full HD today because someone at SpainHBO ****ed up and pushed a button 5 days early.

And yet despite having the entire episode air in its entirety, in HD, and in English, it is now seven hours later and not a single soul in Spain has been able to figure out how to upload the episode. All we got was drunk Spaniard pointing his phone at his tv and streaming the entire episode but only for mobile users (because **** people using computers or who don't have instagram amirite?) while tipping his phone this way and that and jabbering and laughing in Spanish. On top of that, we have another Spaniard trying to STREAM the episode using streaming services like twitch and youtube thinking that people will be able to see it before it gets taken down. After being banned from twitch and most likely getting his youtube suspended, he "gives up" after seemingly being the only person in whole country who knows how to capture video properly, yet doesn't know how to upload it to a torrent site.

There is a torrent online where the file is over 1Gb so it will hopefully be the right one.

Yeah but given what happened when episode 4 was leaked, you couldn't go near youtube especially without being spoiled.

I did not even know that season 4 was leaked until now

In fairness this is a place to discuss GoT, there should be a thread for episode 6 if there's people who are willing to discuss it.

Obviously not this thread, but I don't think there's many on boards that would intentionally spoil.

The threads for specific episodes are always locked until the episode is aired, regardless of whether it has been leaked or not.

I never really understand people who'll watch these things using anything but a direct digital rip. Cams and other second-hand rips are OK, but usually still really variable in quality. It's a bit like reading a book with torn pages and scribbles all over it; you'll get the core of the story, but you won't be able to immerse yourself in it, and you'll miss out some tiny subtleties.

I'd much rather wait 4/5 days to watch it full quality on my screen at home than watch a dodgy copy on my phone screen in the bathroom.

Horses for courses I guess.

I don't understand why the episode threads weren't opened for episode 4 once it was leaked. Once it's out there people are going to watch it, so let them discuss it.

Saying that, maybe the mod wanted to wait for a decent quality version before watching it and didn't want to have to mod a thread for an episode they wouldn't see for 3 or 4 days.

1080P is a resolution, it doesn't mean the quality is good. It could be a cam job upscaled to 1080P or could be someone videoing it on their phone pointed at the tv.

Not trying to be pedantic here. A lot of people don't actually know what 1080P means and just think it means really good quality. For all I know you're one of these people (no offence intended there by the way) and you just looked at the torrent site, seen it was 1080p and thought it was a good quality version. Glad to hear it is actually a direct rip though.

They're just two examples for me of how badly the show has gone downhill so quickly. It's not the kind of show that needs knowing nods to the fans, and they're really incongruous and jarring. What's with the big trek north to capture a wight? Can they not used Tyrion's teleportation device to just teleport one to them. Or teleport Cersei beyond the wall?

Hello again, Kevin Eldon. Goodbye again, Kevin Eldon. So did Gendry just kill two poor actors who were practicing their Goldcloak parts for their new play?

Great smuggling route by Davos though, landing on a wide beach in open view in broad daylight.

You're going to have almost a 2 week wait for the final episode.

I thought that was the point though. It was a smuggler's route well known to certain (all?) guards for which a price was set to turn a blind eye. If you tried to land an army there, that's a different story. But rowboats with a couple of smugglers bringing viagra to the city is a protection racket.

It's out there and easy to find, everyone else will not be waiting until Monday. Sure some will, but a huge amount of people won't wait - and I'll be watching later to reduce the chance of something being spoiled.

I was in work, saw an article online about the leak. Hit the comments to see if it was legitimate and the top comment was a gif from the new episode.

Pretty big scene too. So yeah...there are spoilers out there.
I'm not really too annoyed though, just makes me want to watch it more!
