I think I posted about this before- but people who post pictures of people at their most vulnerable. I'm friends with a girl on snapchat, I don't know her too well, she's a sister of a friend. Her grandad is in a nursing home with dementia and god love him, every time this girl visits him she uploads about ten pictures of him to Snapchat. This man is just sitting in a chair, not knowing where he is, who he is- nothing- and I just feel like it's a total violation of his privacy and dignity to take pictures of him and upload them to social media like that. I'm only friends with her on snapchat, so I dont know where else she posts them, but probably Facebook as well.

I find it so disrespectful. This man has probably worked hard all his life and is being deduced to this poor old lost soul in a chair, and now has this awful illness and probably never even knew what social media is, and yet pictures of him in his most vulnerable state are being splashed for all to see. And for what? So she will get some attention for it? It's just awful.

I can't tell you how pleased I am that you feel like this. I had a major exchange of opinion with a woman who put photos of her dad with dementia and posts about his ill health that were very graphic and robbed the man of any dignity. I felt like a lone voice criticising her but a young wan like yourself saying similar makes me glad I did.:)

TA by this ****e too. It's a complete invasion of privacy and destroys their dignity with no consent. Pure and simple fishing for likes, messages and praise from online friends. It drives me mad.

Just went to Dunnes and they're totally out of fruit, not a banana in sight and have hidden the shelves behind a load of withered looking bunches of flowers but to counteract this annoyance they've stacks of tubs of Christmas chocolates ,Roses and Heroes...stop the world I seriously want to get off.ffs.

I have one of those at home. Espresso in 40 seconds in the morning.

To be fair, it's damn hard to recycle those pods. It would be great if the companies did something about that.

They'll do something about it when consumers show their displeasure by not buying them, or by complaining.

How long does it take to make espresso in an espresso pot? Despite having one I rarely use it because I don't drink it

Use a can opener, or even a cutter, to open the foil of the pod; throw the coffee in the brown bin (the compostable stuff one) and you can recycle the metal part.

Coffee doesn't taste the same, those pots don't make espresso. It takes 3-10 minutes depending on how big the pot is, how high the setting of the hob is, and how warm the water is.

My TA: When you specifically order a hardback book, you ask them to make sure it's not the large paperback version, they confirm it's the book you want in the format you want, and when it arrives it isn't the hardback you wanted at all, but it is indeed the large paperback version you most definitely DID NOT want... and then they scowl at you when you refuse to buy it anyway.

Ta that I don't feel any joy about Hallowe'en this year. Hope it's not a touch of depression again.

Another coffee TA, the latest gimmick is disposable coffee cups being supplied in the box with sachets of instant coffee for a barista experience or something or other. So when you're at home and you'd normally use a sensible cup, you create extra non biodegradable waste every time you have a cup of coffee. So stupid.

They only mentioned it, they're not posting seasonal songs or anything. You need time to prepare if you're planning a party, and time to build up a bit of excitement. It's no different to people looking forward to their annual holidays.

The Christmas forum here has people talking about doing their shopping already. And some shop in the UK has xmas stuff out a couple of weeks

Nespresso do recycle, to give them some credit. You just send them back to them or, as I do, when buying new ones in the shop return the used pods in the recycle bag to the store. Not sure about the others.

My TA today is more training. I've been doing mandatory training 3 days per week for the last 4 weeks in a job I only plan on staying another few months in, if that. I can hardly tell them it's a waste of money though, can I?

That is just the worst. People who ate like a slob for 20 years and suddenly become vegan or something overnight and decide to morally dictate about your life choices. Just as bad as people who give up the fags and start to think they're morally superior and become all smug and health conscious cos they're off the fags four days. I've no problem with people being proud of their own life choices, fair play, but when they infringe on other people's it's overbearing.
Fcuk off. Live and let live.

    Lack. Of. Sleep.

I literally cannot function. I need more sleep than the average infant but no matter what time I go to bed at, I struggle to get 5-6 hours. Today is going to be torture.

as long as they're not shoving their vegan tendencies, or slimming world, or gluten free, or macros, down everyone else's throat I don't care what they're doing

My TA is yesterday evening I pulled onto the forecourt to get diesel and all 4 spaces were taken. 3 empty cars so I assumed they were inside paying and 1 guy still filling. The shop was busy and at the door into the shop two women stood talking. For the 5 mins I was waiting, they both made eye contact with me a few times. So anyway, no sign of any cars moving away. The man who had been filling while I pulled up came walking out of the shop and of course couldn't move his car because some dickwad had boxed him in. I pulled into the space as soon as he could move and the others were still occupied with the same 3 empty cars. I'm midway through filling my car when the two women at the door said their goodbyes to each other and both walked to their respective cars. The cars parked at the pump. I nearly had a conniption. They'd been both standing there flapping their mouth seeing people wait to pull into a pump and had stood there chatting for at least 5 mins. I'm not the best at waiting, admittedly but I was furious. I was so mad I started ranting at the poor girl at the till too about stupid people. Obviously she didn't care I had to wait but she empathised and agreed some people are just the worst, but I was so full of rage I had to let a bit of it out.
