Sean Cavanagh wasn't player of the year in 2005!

    Stephen o Neil was

    Cavanagh 2008?

Peter Harte is the MOTM because, according to Senan, he "stood up when the game was in the melting pot"...when was that exactly?!
    I
was walking up the clonliffe road and there was Armagh lads leaving told me it was 1: 03...Presumably just before then:D

Galway set a low enough bar for dismal quarter final performances last week but Armagh have limboed under it with this muck.

Tyrone are a serious outfit all the same.

Yeah, but he said 12 years ago. Sloppy commentary.

Mike Finnerty also just said that Tyrone have never won an All-Ireland through the front door...they won their first AI that way in 2003. Pure nonsense and reeks of sloppiness.

Lads, ye are not allowed criticise Sky's commentary or coverage, don't you know it's waaaaaay better than rte because it's...... well because it's not rte basically.

They've managed to rebrand TV3's coverage with the blonde replacing matt cooper, and half wits have swallowed it whole as being a better product.

Tyrone at their ease today, never really broke a sweat. Going into a semi final very untested, not a good place to be finding out about your team.

What station is the Dub/Mon game on?

Tried listening to the last game on RTE Radio 1. Gave up fairly quickly. Embarrassing stuff.

In fairness it was a non game. Must have been a commentator's nightmare as a latter stage Championship game. This could be even worse

It's still better than having to endure the Brolly,Spillane,O'Rourke,Canning and Marty Morrisey.

A rectal exam would be more enjoyable than RTE's coverage.

    I feel sorry for Monaghan....

This is going to get embarrassing. I'm sure they'll enjoy the day out though.

How would you feel if you spent 9 months training for the one big day in Croke Park, and you slip at an important time.... all because the GAA held a concert there to filler their coffers.

    Atmosphere is subdued

Complete non contest the lack of athmosphere is understandable.

Monaghan would be better off to abandon any sort of defensive shape and go for it now.The game is lost already.

Nothing wrong with Cooper the big blouse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

Think his elbow caught Cooper there more than the dig.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,317 ✭✭✭Sam Hain

Cooper deserved that accidental dig for thundering in like a thug.

1/4 finals been mostly poor one sided games
    Super 8 gonna be crap

Monaghan are a shambles may as well have stayed at home

Better to go man to man, it nearly won them the league game

It will be interesting to see how many years Sky will be prepared to pay for this sort of one sided match.

In fairness Cooper has a very smug face at times ! Must be hard to resist giving him a dig! Not that he should be ever downbeaten or modest considering the way things usually go for his county!

Amazing that this is somehow worse than the first game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,029 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

I think we would have had 4 one sided quarter-finals this year only for the fact that Mayo have slipped back towards the pack.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,318 ✭✭✭C__MC

Why do managers make a sub with two minutes to go before half time? Pointless

I doubt 'quality of game' is how they measure whether its a success or not.
