6 small planes in formation just flew over the house. Heading to the Foynes air show, I'm told.

Cow that keeps calling even though she is in calf (definitely a calf there) is driving me, my bull calves, my neighbour and his bull, all daft! She calls every 3 weeks and is 'on' for 2-3 days. The neighbour's bull broke in yesterday for a romp - made bits out of the fence. Is there a chance there is something wrong with the pregnancy? She is not due until end of September.

We were loading a bull once and we opened the door at the front, one of us went in in front of him with a bucket of meal and we went out the side door, the bull followed and also went out the side door, doing a fair bit of damage to the trailer :( alot of fooks were said

I bought a pedigree heifer once. I had her tied with a halter to the front of the ifor Williams trailer. Not wanting to get a kick from her, I went in the side door. Rope was looser than I thought and she came out against me. Half in, half out with her head pulled back. Mad rush to get a knife. When we cut the rope she spun around and faced us. One of those split seconds where you thought - oh fook. Changed her mind and ran away.

Any farmers effected by the water stoppage in east Meath?

Or does everyone have their own wells?

Seeing as no one is paying for the water now i wonder will they be in any hurry restoring supplies.

I'd wonder if there isn't a bit of a point being made about how slow their repair is. Now that nonpublic funding they may indeed drag it out to show how needed the funding was needed.

Personally I think scrapping the water charges was nothing but a populous move amd had no basis in sound accounting. People don't respect what has no monitary value.
The existing tax take is insufficient to run the country and now it has to fund water development too, the result will be increased General taxation.

The killer is that the wasters who had time to stand around all day protesting because they are serial unemployed have benifetted because it will be the working tax payers who will foot the bill - again !

Water charges should have been brought in at a minimal payment and then steadily increased yearly at budget time as the population got used to tie motion. It was a monumental **** up by the current government that they couldn't manage this simple charge.

Listening to lmfm the pipe is 4.5m under the ground is over 50 years old. The fittings wont fit it as it has mis shaped over the years. They are getting fittings made in the north. It will be at least Thursday before water is back

In two minds whether to go to the bog and finish bagging the turf or head off fishing for the day. Cracker of a day, nice not to be stuck at silage for a change.

Lakill was listening to the Gospel, about the weeding guests trimming their lamps.
A true farmer, don't miss an opportunity. A wet sod of turf won't give much heat. Rain Tues night/Wed.
