I know there are a few here from the other side of the Shannon.....

I'm heading to near Leenaun for a few days next week and was hoping some of you local experts could recommend one or two cycling routes in or around 120-150km? Hope to escape the kids for a few hours early a couple of mornings...

    Thanks in advance :)

The tour de Connemara route would be a decent one.

You could also circle the lake but that brings you through the city which you'd probably want to avoid other than early weekend morning.

Louisburgh westport would work too, not sure distance but you could come back the long way.

Looks good E, thanks. Recognise some of those roads from the Connemarathon.

A bit of variation on the tour de Connemara route, the Gaelforce Night Sportive route is very scenic with a few hills thrown in and takes in the Clifden Sky road - you could add 10/20km more by going to Maam cross instead of down the Lough Inagh Valley.
