they just do what suits them. Penalise Uran and Bennett but not Bardet or any of the Sky riders who took feed bags inside the final 20km.

Decided by the same comissaires who decided to eject Sagan for doing not much of anything, but only imposed a meaningless time penalty on Bouhanni who was clearly seen throwing a punch, and who decided to ignore the Froome 'lean-in' on Aru, probably because no one likes Aru.

you can be sure this was as a result of Bardet being caught on camera. Had that not have happened, the time bonuses would stay.

Also interested that they decided to reverse the decision rather than just impose the same time penalty on Bardet.

These lads would make Irish politicians look honest.

The teams cut it pretty close when it comes to bike weight...
The minimum weight for a bike is 6.8kg.
A selection of bikes are weighed after each stage.
Nairo Quintana's bike was 6.84kg (after the stage yesterday).
40 grams... that doesn't leave much room for error!

If my aunt had balls etc... however if Dan didn't lose 1,20 when crashing on Sunday he would be right in there now a couple of seconds ahead of Froome.

From his Twitter "Tried for the stage but have no power out the saddle in my back. Getting better every day though so hope to be back to myself next week"
I question his core strength/stability at the best of times, he's like a bobble head when climbing. Seems to work though.

was watching the stage yesterday and on one of the climbs froome and kwitakowski were trying to get away from the group and got handed bottles by a team sky person on the road side. is there etiquette around giving bottles to riders on other teams or other teams riders asking for bottles? or just not the done thing?

So two small organisations, with question marks over how they are run make a whole country corrupt? Please give us more wise offerings. Where would Ireland place on your corruption index?

FWIW Switzerland would run circles around our little country when it comes to transparency and regulation.

Back to Tour. Uran is looking better and better for me. To be sure of a non Froom win, somebody has to get at least a minute on him. I don't think Froome is as dominant this year but his team are and that's a big strength he has over the rest.
