TA being let down by someone and as a result letting someone else down. I too feel awful about myself.

Buying a bottle of white wine in Tesco the automatic till stopped and told me to wait for verification by a member of staff that I am over 25.
After a lengthy delay she arrived, turned and looked me in the face for far too long, then swiped that it was ok.
    I am 67.

I usually give the empty ham packet to my dog to lick and play with for a while. Was walking into the kitchen there and I didn't see it on the floor. I stood on it and slipped and fell. I fell in such a way that it looked as though I was surfing across my kitchen on a ham packet for a few seconds. Pretty sure I've just broken my arse

Is there a crack down the middle?

I fell in a club once when I was in my twenties and bruised my tailbone. I'm sorry to tell you that despite it not being cracked or broken in any way, it hurt me for YEARS. So I feel your pain.

Reminded by Anna's TA my own is my kitchen tiles. Theyre beautiful cream polished porcelain, but it's definitely form over function with them. The amount of times I've fallen is absurd. Feet wet after shower, slipping on water from dogs bowl, wearing high heels. Yesterday evening it was raining badly and the dogs were out doing their wee wee and they hate the rain so as in as the doors open they make a burst to get inside, and both of them slipped and fell running across the kitchen floor. How are places allowed sell such dangerous products

That might be karma for teasing the poor aul dog with a lick of the packet instead of giving him a slice.

TA I am sick. I hope the person who gave me this suffers greatly and for an eternity.

This is a real bug bear of mine but the way our vets charge an extortionate price for everything. It doesn't help that I have so many animals and find myself there quite a bit. The last time it was a cat with a dental issue. Sixty quid when I first brought him in, just to look at it and tell me he would need to come back for an extraction. Bring him back and its 250 quid for an extraction because they lump in anaesthetic and blood tests etc. Then they insist on seeing him a few days after for a checkup - another sixty quid. If I'd brought him to Budapest he'd have fúcking veneers at this rate!

Same a couple of years back the dog tore the cruciate and needed surgery. They were trying to peddle the most expensive (and complicated) surgery but I did my research and actually the basic surgery had the best prognosis based on her small size. 750 quid (this I didn't mind as you cant put a price on mobility and freedom from pain) but then they insisted on seeing her multiple times after and charged consultation for all of these.

A number of years back I was charged 800 for an MRI of a dog we had with paralysis and because nothing showed up, they told me that there was "clearly nothing wrong with the dog" - even though she couldn't walk.

As for UCD, your pet's head could be falling off and you wont get through the door without a credit card.

When somebody says "Good morning!" but your not having a one, you are in foul humour and have have to resist the urge of shouting "Piss off!" at the top of your lungs :pac:

    Cables that don't connect properly.

Stuck charge cable into phone. It vibrated to indicate charging. Put it down.
Come back. No charging picture, 5%.

Used to have a computer that was so sensitive that even a breath could disconnect the cable.
Connect cable - dodoobeydo. Hold breath...................................mmmmmpph.................exhale.....doobadoo.

GSD having a freak out about the million building noises in the area, culminating in his trying to burrow under my pillows to get away from it. 6.50am, I was about 30 mins in bed after a horrible time on duty last pm.

Terrier on the other hand digs into the quilt and is oblivious, why oh why did I think letting him sleep on my bed when he was alone was the "cure" for separation anxiety.

Ex's wife now thinks it's not the done thing to keep her job, now that he's gotten the top job where he works.
What job? ignoring her kids and forcing him to drive to another country to get the kids into daycare that works his hours? and ignoring her husband so he turns to his long term ex for a shoulder!

To the lady in the deli, for once and for all, there is no such fcuking thing as a "sangwich" and even worse a "hang sangwich"..., am I missing something? Is there a new Albert Pierpoint special on the menu that I don't know about?
Are you going to put that in your "hangbag" ? And give it to your "hangsome" husband? Maybe give him a "hangjob" when he's finished?

Yes I'm in a foul humour today because I can't concentrate in work; I'm here late this evening and feel like leaving early anyway and going to the pub (not driving today).

Working environment is a lot noisier these days than I've been used to and I still need silence or headphones to concentrate (headphones not much use when people keep interrupting)....

Anna's ham-surfing and Old Not Wise's dog with Budapest veneers have given me a much needed laugh. I hope you're ok now Anna. The tailbone hurts a lot when you bang it :(

My Ta is the cost of some things that are so important, like veterinary care, luckily I found a vet that doesn't charge for just taking a quick look. I think everything is a bit cheaper out here in the rural West. TA I still haven't organised pet insurance though.

TA I constantly feel guilty for not having insurance but there are so many it would literally be a health lottery. Or a case of pick your favourite/ most sick. It did cross my mind to cunningly insure one black cat and then avail of it in respect of all three black cats :D ("what this one? No she just used a volumising shampoo")

TA I am so shivery and sick and I want to go home to a fire and hot whiskey, but I have a real job now and I have to adult and shít.

And another annoyance: Every time I go on Boards, an ad for those FUGLY "C*ctus" cars comes up on top of the page.

(I censored the model of the car as I imagine there is some algorithm which picks up stuff you've ranted about before, and I'm sure I've had a rant about them before....)

Dog snapped at the mother in law. It was the MILs fault. I had to chastise the dog even though I wanted to high five her (the dog).

TA's that I think I'm actually starting to like those cars.

Also massively TA'd by the fact I need to change the car, but can't really afford to change the car. And every time I start looking at cars I get sooooo confused about what we need/want. But there's no real point in looking, cos we probably can't afford to change anyway.
I'll just have a quick look in case....

The fact my wife and in-laws keep sending me pictures from papers of PCP offers for cars we DEFINITELY CANNOT AFFORD isn't helping either.
"It's a great price"; maybe, but it's still at least 10K more than we can manage.
Arg, maybe more than TA'd by all of this
