If Galway and ourselves win quarters are
    Galway Kerry
    Mayo rossies

If mayo and donegal win it's an open draw I believe

Cork won't bring anymore than Clare brought yesterday
    11000 at it
Would be similar for that game
It will be Limerick though if it's cork
And probably at 7pm which will be a pain in the hole

    Why 7PM?

Urgh probably will be Ennis again. Ah well bring on the Clarinbridge-Gort tailbacks :D

Can see why I was so underwhelmed after our loss v Galway looking at that today. Knew they were not that good. But fair play to the Ros though. Some very good stuff by them and fully deserved

All credit to them they were very good although Galway were very poor.It seems the assumption that they would only have to turn up backfired spectacularly.

An improvement on the Derry game. Against Derry, we were terrible in the first half and even worse in the second half, whereas yesterday, we were poor in the first half and then lit up in the second half. So there's gradual improvement.
Diarmuid seems to have found a bit of form, his goal was a bullet.
Cillian struggled to get into the game at times, but he was taking serious abuse off the ball from the Clare goalkeeper and the fullback, so I was delighted to see him get his goal.
Aidan had another great match. Good to see him back in his proper position.
Happy to see Evan Regan get some time and he showed well enough when he came on.
Good to see Lee being given a freer, more attacking role. He is at his best when he has freedom to get up the pitch. Keith as well was much better when going forward and making things happen.
Our tackling was better in the secoond half and we showed fight for every ball.

On the downside, there is still a serious problem with teams cutting through the middle. While I can see why having Kevin McLoughlin in the forwards is beneficial, I still think he's our best option as sweeper and we are weak at the back without him. We're very soft through the middle and I would still be concerned that we'll be badly carved open at some point.

The slow starts are not great either. We can't keep leaving it late. That being said, we warmed up quicker yesterday.

If the county board agrees to that everyone of them needs to resign

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,198 ✭✭✭PressRun

The county board better kick up a fuss about that. I bet they won't though, true to form.

There will be a few little mutterings but past form suggests that they will be little lambs to the slaughter again.

Where is that from? Does that mean playing Cork in Cork?

They can take a running jump if they think we'll give up a neutral venue and head down to Pairc ui Chaoimh or Semple Stadium as a neutral venue for that matter.

I thought they were all set to fix two of the hurling quarter finals in Pairc ui Chaoimh after the Munster football final was moved to Killarney.

After limerick , the GAA can take a running jump all right . How about Hyde park . See how cork would like that .

    Cork win hurling now anyway

    On that though
Yes why should we agree to play a Munster team at a Munster venue AGAIN
    Up to tullamore :D

Never mind Cork, none of us would even like that! I'd play up in the far corner of Antrim than there.

Looking at last years neutral venues for the 2 qualifiers that were not in Croker
    Clare Roscommon was in salthill
    Derry Tipp was in Cavan

So limerick or Ennis is a near certainty and I'd guess limerick

If this about Limerick can i ask where would ye have suggested that game took place? Talking to Tony Kellys father in a pub in Ennis last night who said we were screwed over that, i asked him what should have been done about the concert, cancelled he said. Honestly how do you answer ****e like that? And yes i agree concert shouldn't have been agreed in the first place

Do the GAA i wonder ever think about the optics of these games? Ennis would be a full house and a cracking atmosphere whereas Limerick would be played in at best a half full stadium. I know which venue Sky would prefer if they have any say

The Sky thing could be a factor alright if they are showing both games live. A double header somewhere would suit them. Outside CP is there anywhere that would suit? Thurles comes to mind again :(
