First bit of "passion" shown by Galway and its in the 72nd minute .
No desire at all shown by them

  • 3 reds delighted
    Ref handled the match well

    fecksake Ger.

Galway just had 2 players sent off right in front of you and you say both teams end with 14 players.

I said before that I felt Roscommon had sacrificed the league to focus on Connacht. Had a feeling they were putting all their energy into this They clearly have done just that.
A deserved win today. Galway very complacent. They thought they just had to show up, yet again. No real fight in them. In contrast to Roscommon, who fought for every ball.
Enda Smith ran the show all day.

Galway lads don't seem to be this hammering too well! Great display from Rossies. Awful conditions

G'wan ref.....hand out another red to a Galliv lad, so I can pay them back for 30 years of Twelve Apostles begrudgery. :D

Comer was not passionate. Theres a difference between Passion and mind numbing stupidity/sore losing.

22 minutes without a score is beyond ridiculous.

    Congrats to the Rossies!

Anybody know how many times Roscommon have won the Connaught Football Championship? Just curious

This must go down as the worst commentary ever in Irish sport. These two are just pathetic!!

I know ..probably the wrong word to use but Galway were awful ..too timid in the tackle
    Roscommon won every 50/50 battle

Well done to Roscommon. Galway bar Shane Walsh have been very poor.

Apart from Shane Walsh we were a disgrace today. Fair play to Roscommon. Far better team.

    23min since Galway scored.

And on Friday night the talk was Galway's being contenders for the championship.

Delighted for Roscommon. Galway were brutal. Learned nothing from the Tipp match last year.

"They've won the cup for the first time since 1978. It's the first time they've won the title in seven years".
I know he means something about Galway with the 1978, but come on Ger - make it clear.

    Jesus, I really overestimated Galway.

They're probably the most overrated team in the country

There's been 4 or 5 blatant commentary errors in the last five mins. Are they hopeless or just not concentrating?

Last time they won in Pearse stadium. Ignore the fact they played in Tuam for nearly 20yrs of that period
