has all Brown Bread that you buy in the supermarkets and shops got Wholemeal in it as an ingredient? in other words is there such a thing as Brown Bread loaf without wholemeal?
and isnt Brown bread white bread but whereas white bread is bleached to make it white, brown bread is not? - is that how it is?

Ah. My understanding is:

White bread is made from white flour. White flour is made by removing the bran and wheatgerm from milled wheat. It might be further whitened by bleaching.

"Brown bread" is not a defined term. It it looks brown, it's brown bread

. I think the most common types are wholemeal and granary.

'Bleached' flour is not available in the EU due to regulations on the chemicals used to bleach it.
