    nope. i said i would absolutely be annoyed if i found out someone who jumped into save me only did it because of their own xenophobia toards the person who attacked me because of the colour of their skin or religion.

    I don't really get what's going on. He seems to be walking down the street minding his own business when someone shoves a camera in his face. He may be a racist but he doesn't seem to have started it.

    Everything is up for debate actually, shutting it down isn't productive and is pretty fascist funnily enough. Things change, I agree with you there but if things change that go against your way of life and your freedom, then I think you can be justified in speaking up on it. Example, if some guys are coming home from mosque in full religious garb and are just heading on to their next destination, cool. If some guys are coming from mosque and openly denigrate a woman for wearing skimpy clothes on the basis of it not conforming to their ideals, then frankly f*ck them, they deserved to be called out on it.

    I'd also add, if people are putting themselves in a public place to protest, they should expect to be spat at. I'd put these types of "protests" only marginally above chuggers in the food chain of lowlifes who ruin our city-scape at the weekend.

    they are entitled to protest. I certainly don't deny that. Others are equally entitled to protest against them.

    Not sure the multi quote system could handle it! The countless immigration threads are a classic example of middle class, nationalistic racism and xenophobia. In fact, at least this person has shown some kind of credibility and intellectual honesty in expressing his views in a clear and honest manner. For that, he should be held in higher estimation than the "anti immigration cos Irish culture" brigade anyway.

    So then what was your initial claim, an error, a slight, or were you just fabricating untruths so as to mud sling at those who perhaps have differing opinions than yourself?
