Bit more than a TA, but I'm waiting for the tap on the shoulder to be called into the directors office and being made redundant. There are 2 of us in my department, I'm better at the job than he is, but he is here a lot longer, so it will cost them about 3 times more to make him redundant.
I wish it would just happen, at least I wouldn't have the cloud over me all day.

My other TA is when I'm wearing a hoodie out and about, I'm always wary of putting the hood up and look like I'm about to rob a place or something.

Nothing worse, I remember in a previous job I knew I was getting sacked and the wait was the worst, they emailed me saying meet us at 3 to discuss your future....so I waited 90 mins doing my job knowing I was getting sacked!

    Afternoon Tea.

What the hell is Afternoon Tea?

It seems it is a thing for working class wimmin do to make them feel middle class.

Or middle class wimmin who want to feel like they are upper middle class.

One way or other, when I hear people on about it, it annoys me.

My dentist is great. He treats me like I am an 8 year old - which is what I feel like when I go see him.
He has this great technique of distracting me when he has to inject me so I hardly notice the abomination of the needle going in to my gum.

But today I am trivially annoyed that I can feel the sniffles coming. A cold is about to consume my week.

Being undermined at work by someone who thinks he knows better / someone who'd rather do my job for me rather than have a conversation about what he thinks would work well.

    Ta'ed I think we have a ghost,
My cheque has disappeared into thin air, spend 24 hours looking everywhere for it.
My house keys which I put in my handbag when I came home last night, were found in my jacket pocket this am. This jacket is new and I def didn't wear it yesterday.

Thanking your post for reminding me of the word "Buinneach". I will use it every day from now on.

Don't mind the injection! It's the rooting about in my mouth and the gloves and the smells and the sheer panic while welded to the chair. However. It'll all be over me by this evening. I hope :/

When you get a choice of two microwaves one has "3 year warranty" written on the box, one doesn't, you buy the one with the long warranty, open it up, on the user manual on the outside it reads "3 year warranty"... inside the manual it reads....
Your appliance comes with a 12month warranty, WHAT.....a 3 year warranty valid for 12 months???
There is no option to register it or extend it, bit misleading init?

I think there is an EU Directive that all electrical (household) appliances have a minimum two year warranty, despite what the shop says.

Completely turn off your phone at night, and don't check it till you're up and about. If there's an emergency, they'll hammer your door down.

As a parent of adult children (who don't live at home) please, never switch off your phone at night...and I won't call unless it really is an emergency.

Was in my sisters all day yesterday and now my favourite leather jacket that I cannot wash absolutely STINKS of whatever she was cooking. I smell like garlic and ginger. I hate garlic. How do I get the smell out?

Sodium Bicarbonate/bread soda. Sprinkle loads of it on the jacket, an leave it for a few hours/overnight. You can then shake it off or use a vacuum cleaner. It won't do miracles, but it should help.

    ^^

Bread soda is great stuff, and cheap as chips. Spoonful in a glass of water for Indigestion. You can brush your teeth with it, sprinkle In smelly trainers. Mix with white vinegar to unplug shower drains etc etc.

Just use it dry on the leather jacket, though. :)

My boss is refusing to delegate work to me, presumably paving the way to justifying my disposal at review time, plus I noticed them whispering and working on something earlier with keywords such as "experience" etc. and I am pretty sure they are drafting a profile for my replacement! Major TA = my life has no direction and I want to go home and drink shiraz. light the fire and snuggle with my seven kilo dog. These truly are the only things that will make me feel better right now.

But can you get drunk on it? :P

TA since starting my diet I can tolerate less food without feeling uncomfortably full. I went for the same lunch today as I had two months ago and couldn't finish. TA food waste.

Those stupid little signs in hotel bathrooms with their lefty rah-rah-rah about the environment and how I can help by using yesterday's dirty, wet towels.....

Nothing to do with them not wanting to pay for the laundry so.......

Just hang it on the line in a good stiff breeze for an hour or two.

Arranged with a friend to call to her this afternoon. Rang to check she was there and she's down the town but will give me a call when she's home, should be around 6:30. TA'd at some people's definition of afternoon
