Folks if you go family plan and you already have an existing email logged with spotify do you have to set up a new email or can you just amend the billing address to whoever you join the plan with? Thanks

I've just amended my address to my new "family" home.

    Hi All,

I set going to set up a family account - i've myself and another taken so 4 slots free.

If you are interested in joining send me a PM. I'll give my email and you can send me a gift of 30 quid. (it has to be a gift)

Once that goes through I'll send you the link and the address. We can then enjoy a year of cheap spotify.

Please guys i'm looking for regular boardies, no new accounts

I'll update this post with the people added and paid.

If the other guys dont reply and pay I'll free up the spots.

    Hey All,

I'm looking to see if I can get another going.

There are 6 members, I have 2 (including myself) saved, so 4 still available, so PM me if interested.

Same rules as the other groups, no new boardsies, 30 euros for 12 months premium Spotify, prepaid by "gift" on PayPal to avoid PayPal fees.

Also, any feedback from previous groups as to how it went for them, any issues?

    Thanks in advance

Just make sure everyone uses the exact same address as when you setup your account, postcode esspecially.

Should be good to go then.

And I presume I put the same address in for everyone, or does everyone have to do that themselves? Thanks

Just curious about the 'no new Boardsies' caveat. I can understand this if it applies to the person setting it up, as they could theoretically scarper with everyone's money. But why for those signing up and paying? Once they've given you the Paypal money, they can't take it back and the person who signed everyone up is always in control of the account. Have I missed something?

Hi, sorry if I have offended anyone. The reason I put it in there was that I won't personally know the people who would join up with me, just like they won't know me. Since we all have to sign up under the same address, I must provide my address to these people, so that they will be able to sign up "as a family" under 1 address. I just thought I could trust someone with my address a little more, if they have been a member for a while, rather than joining today, paying 30 euros, and getting my own address. Also, I didn't want any hassle with the account, as in we all pay, get our accounts and go our separate ways and I just pay the 15 euros per month

Maybe I am over worried, just thought it seemed to work with other groups and they had no problems.

No, not at all offended - as I said, just curious. I set up my own 'family' a while back and all went well, thankfully. You don't actually need to give your own real address. Some on here have used made-up ones in the set-up with no problem.

Once the person joins your 'family' and pays, you're grand. They are the ones who must trust you, as you can remove their access at any time and keep their money! Not that I or you or most other genuine people would ever do that! ;)

Ok, thanks, good to know. Hopefully just as smooth an account this time also. Do you not need to give your real address for the billing?

Well, the real address of whoever is paying, which needn't be the same as the account holder AFAIK. Having another address attached to Paypal is straightforward enough to set up, too. As long as Spotify get their money on time, they don't seem to care either.

It didn't occur to me to give a fake address for the whole thing when I set it up.
Mind you, even delivery people with my full real address have difficulty finding me, so I'm not worried that my 'family' might track me down. But they never even call me to say hello and they sent no mother's day card this year either (sob) :pac:

    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone got this email from Spotify? I thought I had already entered the details of the account holder - am i missing something here?

    Here's the mail:

    Let's verify your account.

It takes just a minute. Please note that all Premium for Family members must live at the same address. (See terms.)

If you don’t live at the same address as the main account holder (or if we don’t hear from you in 7 days), we’ll switch you to a Spotify Free account.

    3. Rman2727 - Paid
    4. Salmon - Paid
    5. Deisler- Paid

I got an email from all , re the address the address is as PM'd previously. Is there something I need to do??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 680 ✭✭✭Salmon

    tech,

Yeah, I think you need to PM on the ZIP/Postcode u used on your account! Everyone needs to have the same one to prove we live at the same address! I was in contact with Rman2727 and he told me that he entered your address and in the postcode field he just put in the digits 02 and it worked. I done the same but now they must have picked up that we all have different postcodes! If you send on the postcode you used we should all be able to contact them to sort it out!

    Cheers,

    Salmon
