    All PCBS :D

    machines are on tokens.
notable games for me are medievel madness and tales of the Arabian nights:cool:

    18922151_1971381969759622_2365595333547238215_n.jpg?oh=9baf68648b5465e97101d973c2239668&oe=599CD96B

That looks like it's better value to buy the 50 token/20euro option than the 120 token/50euro option... You'd be only gaining 10 tokens for every 100euro spent though.

(If my maths are correct :pac: )

You'd even be 2 tokens better off if you had €50 to spend, and bought 2 sets of 50, and one set of 22...

I was wondering alright if they may be running 60-1s for some of the older boards ..it makes alot of business sense and in a way and could explain speed differences ..it could be just old boards repaired with different speed crystals as well though.

Didn't make in there at all myself found it too late / early for me ,it wasn't open yet and i hadn't time to get to it when it did open . :( at least i know where it is now for when i'm up the next time .

    I'm going later.
    really looking forward to it.

Was there last night, was pretty good but big queues/crowds around machines. So trying to get around, let alone get a game was difficult. Some of the problem was that there were quite a few ahem, stubborn, people going for high score runs that were hogging machines for a long time with loads of tokens. Suggestions for co-op were met with scoffs. :(

Food looked great but unfortunately couldn't get a spot at a table. Staff were really nice, maybe expect one lass behind the bar that had issues with the card machine overcharging a couple of times. :pac: Pinball area definitely needs a bin more light, especially for the ones that barely illuminate themselves.

Overall though the design of the place is cool, really liked all the signs and the green pipes in the bathroom! Met loads of nice people and nearly everyone seemed to be having a great time. Will be interesting to see how it balances out over time!

Aahhh, the memories - welcome back to the 1980s!!!
Although to be entirely honest, back then they turned everything off at night and most machines had no PCB batteries or simply exhausted ones, so whatever record you had, was usually deleted at night.

I remember systematically posting the fastest lap on Sega's F1 Exhaust Note when I was 14/15, only to find it reset the next day

I will have a look, couple of the guys at work are interested as well - might pop up sometimes in the middle of next week. A bit on the very much non-politically-correct-side and maybe just be ironic about us nerd...I have a hunch it's the most "sausagefest" night spot in Dublin city, would I be correct? :D:D:D

    I'm heading to Token tomorrow.
Myself, Mrs Ciderman and Cidonalad, combined Father's Day/Cidonalad Birthday thing.
I'm not sure how much gaming will be done, we've a table for a late lunch booked for 4pm.
Looking forward to seeing the place!

Is he over 18? I think they're 18+ only there for the time being - my 12 year old brother is gutted that he can't go, I'm hoping they get family days sorted!

I didnt notice but the missus said there were strictly over 18s signs. They were turning away people without bookings at 7pm.
Bouncer said they had over 400 for Friday alone.
    Food was top class!
The vids are all in good shape and getting a lot of play.
Then pinball area needs work but im sure they know that and will get there.
The pins are not playing as well as they should be.
Most of them were set at the wrong pitch and off level.
Also a lot of the flippers were sticking or not set correctly.

All in all tho I really enjoyed it and the 4/5 pints of All day IPA :D

(the "hot stuff" chicken tenders are pure fire)

I FB messaged them this morning, and they confirmed that he wouldn't be permitted entry.
    Which was disappointing.
On the other hand, they did say they'd be organising some sort of family days.
Which is code for nope, not going there.

I'm gutted for Cindonalad :( that's such a pity! I can get small kids, sticky fingers and stuff. Hopefully they'll do a family day thing.

It's totally possible they have the dip switch settings wrong, if it's a 60in1 anyway, I've never seen an original board but I'd imagine it's the same.
Dip Sw 7 should be off. I have a couple of multigame boards though and the speeds are not always accurate to the originals.

Got onto them anyway - they say the switches are all set right. It feels overclocked, hard to know what could be it. It's still fun to play though - in some ways easier than the regular game, frightened timers are slightly more generous than normal.

Went last night. The food is excellent. Was pleased to see the games priced at 50cent. That's really cheap as far as I'm concerned.

Enjoyed everything about it except that the game volume was set super low and the background music was really loud so I could barely hear most of the games. There's a reason arcades usually have lots of carpets and soft furnishings as well and that's to absorb the noise. They could use some sound dampening.

The fact I've got SF2 Championship Edition rather than Super Turbo would be my other quibble.

They were packed out by the time I left at 6.30. Great to see something like this being such a success. Goes to show when you do things right a social gaming space can work.
