Dillon Danis asking to fight Amir Khan on undercard.

    Sigh.

Given the context, I don't see what's wrong with that. Let's have at it. We'd all be interested in that too if we're honest, if only to see one of these lads get smashed. Line 'em all up.

Really getting into the swing of things here, like being a member of the baying mob at the stocks...

He wouldn't even last as long as Aldo.

It doesn't appear to be. He tagged Khan in the tweet.

I prefer JK's tweet of the Irish lineup against the Mayweather camp.

Give me @amirkingkhan on the undercard #glasschin

The next few months will be full of this...

Not trolling here. I think Conor will win. As much as conor loves money, he's a fighter first. Floyd will underestimate Conor. Conor will be much bigger and have trained his ass off. I'm calling mcg to KO Floyd round 7 or 8.

Has it been officially stated that it will be a 12 round bout as opposed to any other number of rounds?

Found it. Dana said in this FB Live video that it's 12 rounds.

Every fighter has his day. Look at the all time great boxers records... they go from undefeated to nothing but defeats from nobodies just like that. One of the biggest mistakes alot of fighters do is to give too much respect to their opponents and it makes them fight worse than they should, something I think some of mayweathers past opponents have done but its something mcgregor could never do. I smell an upset.

That's right but wasn't that cause he said they gave him pillows.... so was more the density than the weight he took issue with?

The Cotto fight was defiantly 8oz... wasn't that at 154?

Man the build up to this should be the craic..... more entertaining the fight itself I expect.

I don't understand the "build up to this is gonna be epic" mindset. If you wanna hear people talk sh1te go to any pub in Dublin on a Saturday night. If you wanna hear people talk sh1te about how much money they have, go to any pub in South Dublin.

    Sly is in too.

  • If we freeze Conor in time as a 28 y/o and allow Floyd to get older and older, there inevitably comes a time when Conor - even with his much lower skill - would have a 50/50 chance.

So what's that age? Genuinely interested in serious estimates.

Could be now, floyd not looking good in sparring apparently.

Agree with a few posters above. Nothing wrong with this if there's nothing wrong with Mayweather v McGregor. Let's put Katie Taylor v Ronda Rousey on the card too. Royce Gracie v Mike Tyson. CM Punk v Mickey Ward. Brock Lesnar v Tyson Fury. If there's gonna be a circus they should just make it the biggest circus of all time.

Nothing wrong with it except for dillon danis being 50 pounds heavier?

Weight classes aren't important in freak show fights. They could find a middle ground. Khan would surely be willing to pile on a few pounds for a big payday.

And that Danis is a grappler and not a striker in the slightest, he doesn't even have an MMA record for christ sake!

Schaub might end up losing money and have to get back in the octagon :pac:

Conor will struggle to land a glove on him, unless Mayweather doesn't train and lives on twinkies until the fight. I genuinely think he could beat him with one hand, it's simply a different sport that has some crossover.

I've seen Schaub bend things to fit his way on Rogan's pod numerous times. I can even imagine him right now post fight saying "I'm just saying Conor displayed a lot of movement in some rounds..and you know he stood in front of him...and Floyd... I'm just saying Floyd didn't hurt him that much. I'm just saying." Of course with the raised eyebrows and hands out in front him.

You said yourself you were looking forward to the buildup. This is the kind of ****e that'll be forthcoming for two months.

Schaub clearly angling to get some air time on ESPN etc.

You want to get noticed? Take a hard line against the consensus. Media platforms are going to be looking for MMA guys to 'debate' boxing guys why their guy will win, give Mayweather a fight etc

I cannot believe McGregor is a short as 4/1, 9/2 in places

How much closer in the betting will it go? I was expecting this to be a no bet fight with Mayweather being way too short to get a decent return but looks like I was way off.
